reading that the theme of the party was retro, i chose to go for denim.

i was staring at my clothes in the closet until i finally made up my mind. without hesitation, i took out a cherry red t-shirt, a light wash denim jacket, and a denim skirt which all fit my body perfectly.

i also then went ahead and got my white sneakers which i paired with my favorite pair of colored socks.

i changed into these clothes and scanned my outfit infront of the mirror from top to bottom. seeing that they all matched well with each other, i was left satisfied.

i sat infront of my vanity table next and got excited to proceed with my hair and makeup. but before that, i put on gold hoops for my earrings and wore a simple gold bracelet which had small heart designs in it.

i went on to do my makeup which was shimmery and pinkish for the night. i did it lightly to make sure i still looked like myself.

ten minutes later, i moved ahead to doing my hair. i started making loose waves with my curling iron and finished off with colorful hairpins being the accent to my hair style.

finally, i was done with everything. most of all, yujin came just at the perfect timing when i heard her knock on my door.

i felt my heart racing out of nervousness, but i couldn't deny that i was also excited to spend the night with her and to show jooheon that i did make an effort at least.

"sooyi-ah, we're here!" yujin squealed and unbuckled her seatbelt upon successfully parking her car.

i followed after my friend, grabbed my bag, and then made my way out of the car. from a distance, i carefully observed the place. loud music was blasting everywhere and people were crowding the area. it was dark but the party lights looked amazing.

it made me anxious, but for some reason, it also made me comfortable knowing that i just had to blend in with the people and then i would have the best time of my life. they wouldn't even notice unless i'd make a scene of course.

that thought itself feels freeing.

"let's go!" yujin grabbed my arm and dragged me to the entrance.

we showed our tickets and got stamped at the back of our hands before we went inside. the party was already starting, and i first noticed the group of boys dancing around the dj who controlled the music.

my jaw slightly dropped as i was actually pleased at what i was seeing.

the dj himself was a tall and slim man who had pretty facial features. but above that, he was exuding such a cool vibe. he was smiling at everyone as he played music and he looked beautiful while flipping his hair.

i was in awe.

"that dj looks crazy handsome, yujin-ah." i nudged her shoulder and pointed to the guy.

yujin looked towards the direction i pointed and immediately widened her eyes as if they would pop out.

"shit, that's dj h.one!!!" her mouth opened wide in shock and she suddenly started jumping up and down while hitting my arm.

"ah! ouch! stop... you're too excited.." i moved away from yujin and rubbed the area she hit several times.

"of course i am! dude, i have the fricking biggest crush on him!! i am literally thanking the heavens he's our dj for tonight!" yujin smiled from ear to ear and held her pounding heart.
