Ziva looked at tony.
"That was..." He started looking for the right word.
"Strange," she finished.
"Yes it was Zi," he said softly looking at there tangled hands.
"Whats wrong?" She asked noticing his uneasiness.
"Oh its nothing Zi," he said acting like nothing was wrong.
She frowned and glared at him.
"Fine!" He took a deep breath. "I almost lost you Zi."
She exhaled. "Tony,"
"No, let me finish." He scooped her hand up off the mattress and sandwiched it between his. "I can't loose you. I can not...will not..." He paused again letting a tear fall. "Live with out you by my side. To catch me when i fall, to have my back,"
"Tony..." She whispered not knowing what to say. "When... He told me that i will never see the team... You again... I felt... Broken. I am broken Tony. Like a glass that a child had dropped." She whispered.
"Your not broken Ziva." He said.
"I was alone Tony." She also let a tear fall. "I never felt alone until he..." She looked into his bright green eyes.
"Your not alone Zi." He took a deep breath. "Every second that you were...missing... All i could think about was you. Your smile. Your laugh. Just you."
"Why do you stay here with me Tony when i turn my back on you so many times. Like when i ran away the other night in the parking lot. Why do you care." She asked.
"I care. I always have. And i always will." He whispered removing his right hind from hers and wiped her tear away from her cheek with his thumb.
He leaned in and when his lips were only millimeters from hers, he whispered."i love you Ziva."
He then lightly pressed his lips on hers. Fire sparked between them as he pulled away a few seconds later.
"I love you to my little hairy butt," she smiled as she lifted her swore arm around his neck and pulled him in again.
