Rachel's p/v
I didn't go to school yesterday because I was feeling a bit under the weather. Ricardo and I are hanging out today though. It's a Saturday so nothing can ruin my plans. All day I was coughing and shit but I'm good to go now. I wonder what would have happened if I went to school. What was the thing Tyler wanted to ask me? He asked for my address yesterday to bring me the math homework but he never came. Mary probably needed him.Someone is knocking at the door. Who knocks at 6 in the morning? The only reason why I'm awake is because I'm tired of my bed. It's time for me to get back in motion. Opening the door will help kick start it.
"Morning, sunshine." Tyler says with a smile. He's holding a coffee in one hand and his phone in the other.
"What are you doing here?" I yawn at the end of my sentence.
"Wow, no good morning sunshine back? Kidding. I just thought I'd stop by and see how you're doing. Coffee?" He hands me the cup.
"No thanks, I don't drink coffee anymore. You need to leave before my brother sees you."
"What time does he get up?"
"He leaves for work at 9:15 but he gets up at 6:30 for his morning jog."
"Then I'll just stay here for 5 minutes."
"For what reason though? You already said hello even though it would've worked out the same way over text."
"I wanted to see how you were doing. Darry told me you were sick. I hope you're feeling better now."
"Yeah, I'm feeling better now. Can't you see me?"
"So let me get this straight, I come all the way to your house to check up on you and this is how you act? What a nice way to treat your friends."
"I didn't even think we were friends. You seem to be Mary's friend more than you are mine."
"Are you seriously still on that? You're acting like I ditched you for her. I don't know what game you're playing but I don't want to play."
"I'm sorry, you didn't do anything wrong, it's just me and my very insecure self ruining things. Like always."
"So why don't you tell me how you're truly feeling? Don't listen to your brain, listen to your heart."
I bite my lip. "It's a hard thing to do."
Tyler reaches for my hand. "Let me help you.""What are you guys doing?"
I quickly turn around. Just what I needed.
"I just came to check up on Rachel."
"Yeah, but he's leaving now."
"Rachel, you know you need to ask for permission before you invite someone over."
"It's all my fault she had nothing to do with this."
"And I don't doubt that, so I'm going to say this in the kindest way I can; get out of my house."
"I'm not even inside though."
"What was that?" Darry steps closer.
"Ok, yeah I totally crossed the line. See you on Monday, Rachel." Tyler walks away.
"See you." I say as Darry closes the door. I frown at Darry.
"What?"
"Why are you like this? You don't get mad when Sage drops by.
"Sage is a girl and Tyler is a guy."
"I see no difference. I could be bisexual for all you know."
"You and Sage are friends and only friends. I know how are you, Rachel. Trust me, I see you a lot in me. You and I both know that when I invite girls over it's not because I want to be just friends with them.
"So you're calling me a slut."
"No, I'm not calling you a slut. What I mean is that every time you have a guy in the palm of your hand you don't let go. I'm not shaming you for it because I am the exact same way."
"So why are you using it as a reason to not trust me around guys? You're the exact same way."
"It's not healthy whatsoever, let's not be dumb now. I also have other reasons why I react the way I do."
"Oh, I'm sure you have your reasons."
"Look, there's no reason to fight over this-"
"I'm not fighting over anything! You're just mad because a girl can have guy friends without expecting sex."
"Yup because what you are saying is definitely not considered fighting."
"I just don't understand why you assume the worst of me. Is it the consequences of being your sister?"
"This conversation is over."
"It's over when I say it's over."
"Are you sure about that?" Darry glares down at me.
I make a fist. "You're so unfair. Don't even think I'm going to forget any of this."
"Who are you going to complain to? You're stuck with me bud."I stomp to my room and slam the door.
"You'll learn one day, Rachel." Darry yells.Tyler's p/v
So much for thick walls. I knew Darry was aggressive but not this aggressive. It's kind of scary. Rachel is also kinda scary, but she was in her total right to stand her ground. I won't make surprise visits anymore, I don't want her to get into anymore trouble. Darry just wants to protect her, I admire him for it.
