Rachel's p/v
Despite getting a shit ton of clothes, putting together an outfit was kicking me in the ass. Mary came through with her magical powers. To be styled by MaryJane Ackerman? A dream come true. She did so well too, I genuinely feel pretty.

White lace long sleeve crop top, blue mom jeans, black leather jacket, black docs, and my black mini bag. To my surprise, she picked out pieces that I would've worn together on my own. I just don't have that many pairs of jeans to work with. Mary's outfit is one of a kind, and I'm not saying that because I helped her pick out. Even though she threw random clothes into a backpack she still managed to pick cool as clothes. To be fair, her wardrobe is cool.

Vintage 90s white Dolce & Gabanna Cherub sleeveless top with pink frills, vintage 90s XOXO red mini skirt, black docs, and a black cropped corduroy jacket. I had to lend her notebook paper and a pencil. No vintage 90s bags here, just the red hair clips I'm letting her borrow.

"Your outfit is so cute, Mary. Where did you get your top?"
"On Depop but the brand is Dolce & Gabanna."
"Searching it up right now." The girl says as she goes on her phone. Mary giggles. For once I don't feel jealous.
"Did you have time to study, love?" Tyler says as he sits behind me.
"Nope. Also, are we just ignoring the seating chart?"
"The teacher isn't here yet so why not." Mary says.
"I like the way you think. Did you have time to study, angel?"
"Not even a page. I'm afraid this class is going to have to pass on a curve."
"I'll make sure to get a few questions wrong."
"Of course, how can we forget that you're so much smarter than us."
"I was joking, Tyler. With everything going on I barely had any time to study."
"What could possibly be going on with you? Don't tell me your father is forcing you to go Paris."
"It was my 13th birthday and I wanted to spend it with Jonathan! What's going on with you? Since when did you have the guts to attack me."
"Yeah, Tyler, what's up with that. I know you broke out of your drama-free world to defend me, but there's nothing to defend me from right now."
"You're right, love, I'm being unfair. Just don't let Declan hear you, Mary."
"Rachel has my back, right?" She looks at me.
"I can't control Declan and you can't control Nina. Those are two people who will not change their mindset."
"Speaking of one of them." Mary whispers. I look at the door. Declan enters and his eyes dart at us. I motion for him to come over and he does but with caution. No really, he's scanning the area around us for a seat that isn't in front of Mary. None to be seen.
"Did you study, fish boy?"
"Why am I fish boy all of a sudden." Declan sits in front of Mary.
"I thought your mom packed you salmon for lunch."
"Oh right! Thank you for reminding me of that."
"How are you going to heat it up?" Tyler asks.
"A magician never reveals his secrets."
"Mr. Howard is hooking him with up the teacher's lounge."
"Rachel! Now everyone is going to use me for microwave privileges."
"You wouldn't happen to have access to their coffee machine-"
"So Rachel, did you study like I told you to?"

Mary looks down. This is going to be harder than I thought.

Darry's p/v
Ending my friendship with Rosetta won't be hard, it genuinely ended when she gave me the swerve. But days and weeks wondering what I did wrong is time I will never get back. Still, this should be the easiest thing to process-at least on my end.

"Hey, Rosetta."
She looks up from her book. "You're here early. I'm assuming you want to talk to me about something."
"Correct. Can I sit?"
She nods. I sit across from her at the table.
"How may I be of assistance."
"Funny you say that because that's exactly what I don't need. I want to talk about where our friendship is going. I feel as if our friendship is more harmful than beneficial. Mary feels uncomfortable with the idea of us talking and being near each other. You and I only just got close again and that's because of a prank Rachel made. You do know it was her, right?"
"Yeah. The girl loves to mess with you."
"It shouldn't have happened. We shouldn't have reconnected, but we did and there's no regret in that. I think we both resolved unspoken differences that desperately needed to be addressed. I wanted you but you didn't want me, simple as that. Now I don't want you but you want me. See how this doesn't work?"
"So we can't be friends because Mary says so. Straight to the point, dolly. Now it's my turn to talk."
"I'm all ears."
"Why are you defending Mary after all the things she's posted about Rachel on her spam? Perhaps even the posts her friend's made about her. Rachel didn't get an apology now did she."
"She did, and even Rachel recognized her faults-"
"But she was never fully in the wrong. How can you forget about all the insults Mary made towards her? 'Rachel pathetic Sandoval', 'let's hope no one copies this', should I go on?"
"I'm aware of the name her and Jonathan gave Rachel but like I said she apologized for it."
"And what about all the posts she made towards Rachel? On her spam, an account that you follow."
"What posts? Please clarify."
"No, I want you to talk to Rachel and Mary about this. Bring this up in front of them, I bet you a million dollars Mary will crack under pressure."
"You can't just dump this all on me and not provide evidence-"
"The evidence is in the morals Mary posses. I do believe she'll come clean. It was nice reconnecting, Darry. Let's hope Rachel never ropes me into your life again." Rosetta grabs her bag and walks away. I sigh and reach for the cigarette in my pocket. No, I can't smoke on campus. What I can do is confront Mary about this. This should've been dealt with a long time ago, Tyler and Declan were right all along. Mary wants me to choose Rachel first, to worry about losing her. She shouldn't have a problem with coming clean.
