I open the door and walk to Darry's bed. Aww, he looks peaceful sleeping. I spill the cup of water on his face. He shoots up and wipes the water off with his blanket.
"What the fuck? Did you seriously have to wake me up that way?"
I pull his blanket away. "You're not going to sleep until you tell me why you lied to me last night."
"I lied last night? Please refresh my memory."
"You went out with Sabrina huh? You went out with her? Funny because she told me you guys were broken up."
Darry looks at me. "You want to know the truth?"
"Of course I do! I told you I didn't want to start the new year with lies."
"It's a little dumb white lie that once I tell you it you're going to be laughing."
"That's if I don't colapse first. Do you really think it's nice not knowing where your brother is?"
"I'm sorry, Rachel, I promise it won't happen again."
"Ok. Now tell me where you were."
"I was at the diner watching Hector go on a date with this girl because he asked me to. Him and Lottie are broken up again so we thought I could give him tips on how to start dating again.
"You couldn't have told me that?"
"Hector didn't want anyone to know. You know how embarrassing these type of things are, especially for guys our age."
"True, but I'm still confused as to why you didn't bring your wallet."
l"I didn't need one. Food wasn't on me."
"Ok. I'm only letting this go because Hector is in need of love advice, but not from you. You've been single for how long now?"
"Ooooh Rachel, the love expert. You've been hurting for how long now?"
"The difference is that I have someone, which is actually a perfect segue into our next conversation," I smile, "can I hang out with Tyler today?"
"No."
"No?"
"No. I need you to focus on studying. Your grades aren't looking too nice."
"I literally have A's and B's?"
"You have two A's. Studying won't hurt at all."
"Neither will hanging out with my boyfriend? I'll study once I get back home. The entire afternoon if you want! Just please let me go out."
Darry gets out of bed. "My answer is no. And if I find out that you snuck out you will be grounded. I gotta get to work."
I grab his beanie and throw it at him. He catches it and puts it on his dresser. I grab his pillow and throw it at his face. He shakes his head and walks out the door. Fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you.

I've never been to the movies by myself. Well, I've never gone somewhere by myself. But since everyone in my life is practically gone, I need to learn how to spend time with myself. Besides, I'm getting tired of all the Hitchcock and Tarantino movies in my collection. I just need some terrible movie to keep me entertained. Time to check rotten tomatoes for the worst rated movies!

I'm wearing a brown turtleneck, black oversized windbreaker, dark brown flared pants, and my dark red platform boots. I bought these shoes in New York. No regrets whatsoever. Ugh, the colors in this outfit is picture worthy. I just love how the brown of my turtleneck peaks out on my neck as an extra collar. Maybe I'll muster the courage to take photos of myself in public. Praying for a cute cyan blue truck or something.

"Aww, really? I wanted to cuddle with you though."

I put my phone on speaker and place it on the table. "I know, angel, but Darry is being a bitch. Oh well, I guess you'll have to go to the fair all by yourself. I was hoping you'd win me a teddy bear or something."
"No way am I going without you. We can just have a movie marathon together through FaceTime. I want to see your cute face."
"You know what, we're going to that damn fair."
"But Darry said-"
"Darry said it was too late to go out last night yet he went out. I think it's my turn to have fun."
"I don't want to get you in trouble though. Can we think about this? Darry set up rules for a reason, you can't disobey him."
"I know you're like in love with him or something but this is our chance to hang out before Darry gets more stricter. Trust me, I'm sensing it."
"Two or three hours won't hurt. Ok, I'll see you at my house then?"
"Yup. Is the fair far?"
"Not far at all, just a few minutes away from my crib. Put your blue and white jumpsuit on, it looks adorable on you."
"Only if you wear your red and cream sweater thingy. The one you got in New York."
"Your wish is my command. I can't wait to have you in my arms."
