Rachel's p/v
My alarm was clearly not annoying enough because I didn't wake up on time and now I'm ruining super late. Class starts in 8 minutes and I'm barely brushing my teeth. Breakfast is going to have to wait until brunch time.I literally grabbed a random shirt from my closet and a pair of jeans I found on the ground. Today's outfit consists of my black long sleeve with ruching, light blue mom jeans, black high top converse, and my Kanken. It's raining outside so this choice of outfit isn't exactly the best but it'll do.
"Rachel, I'm giving you 29 more seconds to-"
I quickly rinse my mouth and grab my phone from the counter, "c'mon Darry we don't have all day! Chop chop."
Darry sighs. "Just a calm morning is all I ask for."Crap, the late bell is ringing and still I'm walking to class. I hope Declan isn't too mad at me. We agreed on meeting up at the library. I'll make it up to him with our hangout after school! We spent a good hour planning everything out last night. I just hope the place Declan picked isn't gonna get us thrown in jail.
I enter class and all eyes immediately go on me. I sit in my seat and look at Declan. He's yawning and stretching. I glance at Ma-Tyler? Mary is writing something on the board. Tyler is sitting in Mary's seat. Gosh, he looks so cute today. He's just wearing a black shirt with a evil looking teddy bear in the middle, dark black baggy jeans with green stitching on the sides, a grayish baggy button down, and black docs with green shoelaces. Green is his color today.
Mary is walking back to...Tyler's seat. She's wearing a light pink baby tee with the face of Marilyn Monroe in the middle, light blue baggy jeans, black docs, a black windbreaker, and a fuzzy leopard print bag. I'm not mad that her outfit is better than mine, I had like no time to pick a good one out.
A piece of paper is being passed around on my side of the room. The person in front of Tyler passes it to him. He passes it to me without even even looking at me or the paper. It has my name on it. I unfold it and start reading it.
I lost my phone this morning so there's no way you could've told me you were going to be late. Despite this, I'm blaming it all on you. Kidding. But no seriously, I was all alone this morning. Well it's not like I'm not used to being alone but I was kinda getting comfortable with having someone to talk to. Anyway, are we still on for today?
I am trying to get Declan's attention by waving at him but he's too busy taking notes. A girl looks at me and waves back. I motion no with my finger and point to Declan. The girl nudges at him. He finally looks at me. I point to the note and nod my head yes. Declan gives me a thumbs up. He has a yellow bandaid on his thumb.
Fuck, I'm totally failing the semester. Even Mary had enough, she left without waiting for Tyler. But to be fair, he's still taking notes. Write down all you want, no one is scoring an A on this unit.
Declan drops a textbook on my desk. The thud makes me jump.
"Let's go, ma'am."
"Give me a second." I open the camera on my phone and check my hair. I didn't have enough time to fully brush it.
"You look pretty, Rachel. My eyes will be your mirror."
Tyler let's out a short cough. Try water loser.
"Thank you, Declan, but I didn't have enough time to fix this bump in my hair." I say as I try to flatten my hair.
"Alright, let's see the damage," Declan looks closer at my head, "oh yeah, it's a doozy."
"Shut up! You're not exactly fine looking right now."
"Ok, hand me your phone then. I shall follow your beauty tips." Declan grabs my phone and starts checking himself out. I let out a laugh. Tyler slams his binder onto the desk, stands up, and leaves the room with it.
"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed."
"Or got no charms in his lucky charm cereal."
Declan gasps. "A nightmare."
I grab my backpack and walk out of the room. Declan is next to me, still checking himself out.
I pull my phone out of his hand. "No seas payaso."
"Bilingual queen, we love to see it."
"All the credit goes to my Spanish teacher for insulting all the idiots in my class."
"Wow, imagine taking Spanish." Declan high fives himself.
"Imagine taking French."
"Yeah, I'm pretty good at it."
"Am I supposed to congratulate you?"
"Ouch, that was mean." Declan places a hand on his heart. I stop walking. A smile slowly appears on his face. He puts his arm around me and I put mine around him.
