As I began to drive where he had instructed me to I tried to make small talk with him to feel more at ease. He had seemed very nice when I had picked him up but something was beginning to feel different about him. He rode in silence for several miles and while I tried to talk to him he just sat there with his head down making strange motions with his hands.
I noticed his hands were discolored as we passed through a tunnel with lights in it. I tried my best not to show the fear that was beginning to overtake me but it was not easy. I could not believe how different things were becoming in such a short time. The longer I drove with him in the car the more I noticed a drop in the temperature. This did not make sense considering how hot and humid it still was outside of the car.
