When he turned five that is when something changed. We noticed that he would smile or laugh in our faces when we would get on to him. At first, we thought it was just normal rebellion but then things got much worse. We took him out for his birthday the following year and when a little girl asked if she could have a piece of his cake he gave her a look I cannot even describe and told her no.
A couple of weeks later he stole a kid's bike and no one ever found it. I know you are wondering how we knew it was him but we just did. He continued to escalate and even though they could never prove it was him we know it was. Just a few days ago was the absolute breaking point. We woke up to him being in our room. When we told him to go back to bed he acted like he was going to stab us to death. He left the room laughing as if it was the funniest thing in the world.
