Nothing happened as I stood still in the hallway so I decided to go back to the desk until I made my rounds at midnight. I was looking at my phone when I heard a soft voice down the hall, "Are you all alone tonight, Nancy?" I tried to call the main desk to see if anyone would answer because something felt very wrong.
The only people that knew my name were the other nurses and residents. When I checked on the residents they were all sound asleep and the other nurses were in separate wings. I was really beginning to wonder if someone else was in the building.
