We were within five miles of where he told me his mother lived when I got the courage up to speak again. I asked him if he was okay with me dropping him off at the end of the road his mother lived on. I know it did not make any sense at this point but I could not stand to be in the car with him any longer than I had to be.

His reply out of nowhere chilled me even more. If I am making you nervous you may drop me off right here and I will walk the rest of the way. I felt terrible for doing it but I could not deny the obvious. I let him out and told him I would pray for him and his mother. He just gave me a cold look and backed away from the car. I turned away for a split second to gather my composure and when I looked outside the car he was gone. I looked around several times but there was no trace of him.
