Start the Hunt

(Narrator's pov)
Viperion followed closely behind Howl, stalking her until the moment was right for him to pounce. Although he believed he was quiet enough to not be noticed was he dead wrong, she began to pick up her speed across the rooftops even running on all four limbs like a wolf. Viperion continued to run after her until eventually he had lost sight of her. His ears tuned into every sound around him while you stalked behind his in your Beta form. This form allowed you to blend into your surroundings as you hunted but Viperion could sense the vibrations of your movements and smell you nearby. You hadn't noticed his tongue flicking out while he tracked your scent, just as you were about to pounce his whip wrapped around your waist before pulling you towards him. His green snake like eyes stared deeply into yours as you became visible once more.

"So the snake does have some moves.", You chuckled finding the tightening of the whip around your body rather uncomfortable.

"I've got plenty of moves Wolf Cub but the real question is can you defeat me with your weak little tricks.", Viperion growled trying not to give himself away.

He wasn't expecting you to jump over him, your thighs wrapped around his neck pulling him down with you. Although his whip thighted with your movements you now had his head in a vice grips and eventually one of you would have to give up. His hands grasped your thighs thightly trying to get them to budge but it was no use. You smiled and thightened them more while he squirmed and gasped for air.

"Tell you what baby snake, you let me go and I'll unlock my legs from your cute little head? Sound like a deal?", You growled struggling to speak as his whip began to strangle you more.

Viperion released his weapon and you released your legs as promised. You both jumped away from each other and glared, you wanted to know why Viperion was after you and he wanted his questions answered.

"What do you want with me?", You asked.

"I have to know why the others don't want you around! What's so dangerous about you and your miraculous?", He asked being wary of your tail as it flicked around.

You glared at him and settled down, he noticed you relax and watched as you say on you knees and motioned for him to do the same. Viperion hesitantly say criss-cross in front of you with his lyre in hand, he didn't want to be a threat to you but Ladybug was right about you being unpredictable.

"Your first question, 'What's so dangerous about you and your miraculous?', nothing really. My miraculous only becomes dangerous when my instincts take over or when I lose control. The reputation of this miraculous on the other hand is what scares your friends.", Howl smiled enjoying her bathe in the moonlight.

"What's wrong with your miraculous then?", Viperion egged on wanting to know more.

Your (e/c) hues began to glow and a hungry look contorted over your face as you began to crawl towards him. He almost stood up but then you had him pinned and hovered over him, you giggled as you took in a long sniff of his scent, you recognized it from somewhere. Luka was panicking under you trying his best to keep it from showing but his body wouldn't listen to his mind.

"A-are you gonna bite me?", Viperion asked nervously making you jerk to a stop

You began to chuckle against his neck and soon it erupted into a laugh, "Dude that's kinky, whatever fetishes you have keep em to yourself.", You laughed trying to keep yourself from getting louder. His face was bright red as you pulled away and you flashed him a goofy grin while you rolled off him laying next to him.

"Anyways my miraculous was created on accident. When an ancient evil emerged eons ago my miraculous was born when the Ladybug and Black Cat could no longer handle it. My miraculous ate up the evil and sealed it in itself, creating it's many forms. The Alpha, Beta, Omega, the Subordinate, each a way the miraculous uses to balance out the evil residing inside of it, but at a cost of the holder's life force. That's why everyone is afraid of me, that's why I'm alone because no one knows me.", You sighed reaching a hand up to the stars that you'd soon join.

Viperion stared at you in shock, you were dying, yet you were okay with it? You sighed and flipped back onto your feet, you didn't have much more time in this form. You ruffled Viperion's hair and smiled as you made your way to the edge of the building.

"See ya Snake boy. Next time I'll answer some more questions, ya know if you aren't trying to kill me like today.", And with that you fell off the building disappearing out of sight.

Viperion sighed and released his form, Luka stared off at the edge of the building in silence while Sass floated quietly near him.

"Can a miraculous really kill you?", Luka asked absentmindedly.

"No young Master, just hers. From the looks of it she hasn't much time either. We should get you home Master, you have school tomorrow.", Sass added pulling Luka's jacket softly.

Luka followed behind his kwami with the tip of his tongue hanging from his lips, your taste lingered on his tongue. It's almost like he recognized it but he couldn't place it properly in his mind. His heart beated wildly against his chest from the interaction, he couldn't be falling for Howl right? No he was trying to court (y/n) so why should Howl intervene in his feelings. Luka just needed rest that's all.

The next day at school

Luka smiled seeing you try your best to start a conversation with him, you were usually so shy so it was good to see you coming out of your shell. Although you tried really hard to talk to him some other worldly force kept pulling him away from you. A girl name Lila appeared begging Luka to help her and she glanced at you with a strange look. She smiled seeing you as a potential target for her partner.

"Oh hi you must be the new senior! I heard you're a trouble maker, do me a favor and keep Luka and my friends out of your silly antics. If you don't I'll call Chat Noir on you to erase you from this planet.", Lila growled pointing her annoying finger into your chest with every word. You growled and grabbed her wrist ready to rip it off, Luka quickly grasped your hand and pulled you away standing between you and Lila.

"Stop it (y/n) or you'll face expulsion.", He fumed.

For some reason your heart stung seeing him defend the girl that just threatened you, did he like her more. Well you were anything from normal or pretty so you couldn't blame him. Your miraculous started to react to your emotions and you quickly ran away to avoid an incident or an Akuma. If this is how love is then you wanted nothing of it.
