Rogue Rumor

(Y/n's pov)
From the bottom of my heart I knew that Lila Rossi would be evil, but never did I think that she'd go as far as to spread rumors about me killing my own parents. The day after I stayed home to treat my deterioration I came back to nothing but cold and disgusted stares by everyone in the school. Lila believed I never noticed her cruel smile but when I did I realized that she was the cause of all this.

"Stay away from us you freak!", A kid yelled throwing a rock at me.

I thought I would have to catch it but Chloe Bourgeois had thrown herself in front of it. It hit her back but she just smiled at me and wrapped her arm around mine as she pulled me along.

"Lila says you killed your parents, but from what Adrien has told me you'd never do something like that. He said that you loved your parents very much and lost them in a fire, I've seen how tense you get during chemistry when we use the Bunsen burners so I don't believe a word she says.", The young blonde girl smiled, "My name's Chloe, you've helped me in the past so I'll help you now. Here's my number call me if you need anything."

With that she left me underneath the stairway where nobody could see me but I could still hear them. Lila was upstairs telling Rose and Juleka her story and when I heard it a murderous rage bubbled inside me.

"She showed me it, a huge smile on her face as I watched the video of her burning her parents alive. I heard she did it to some of her foster parents too which is why she's not in foster care right now. (Y/n)'s a murderer who would ever kill their parents especially their mom. If I even raise my voice at my mom I cry, but to kill the very person that brought you into this world is despicable.", Lila sobbed stopping just at the bottom of the steps where I could see her.

Rose was so shocked by the story that she seemed to believe but Juleka didn't seem all to convinced.

"So she burned her parents alive huh? That's weird I wonder how she got that burn scar on her shoulder and back then. Did she say anything about that?", Juleka asked trying to catch Lila in her lie.

"Hmph she probably scorched herself just to make it seem like she was a victim to police.", Lila growled walking away to avoid anymore confrontation.

I sighed sitting down on the floor to try and settle my emotions, why the hell would anyone believe something as stupid as that? Why in the world would I kill my parents when I loved my family? Does everyone hate me now? No...no oh please don't tell me that everyone is against me now! Tears started to fall from my (e/c) eyes as my hearing tuned into everyone's conversations around me, I felt like I was drowning from their cruel words and nobody could pull me out from this hell.

"(Y/n)?", A voice called snapping me out of my trance.

I looked up at the blurry image of a young friend of mine, Adrien had caught me crying and he didn't seem to like that. He pulled out a handkerchief and wiped my tears away with it before sitting next to me, "My friends and I heard what's going on, we don't believe it...I don't believe it. The way we talked about our moms, the look in your eyes every time you talked about your mom's knitting or cooking, I know you would never have hurt them. We believe in you (y/n), don't let people who don't know you judge you by some stupid rumor.", Adrien smiled wiping away the last of my tears as I finally began to settle.

Luka arrived seconds after I finished crying and saw my puffy red eyes, he fell to his knees and pulled me into a tight hug kissing my neck as he whispered my name. I felt safe in his arms, I didn't want to leave his side knowing that he believed me like my friends did. He wiped away the new tears that fell from my eyes and told me everything would be okay that I didn't need to worry about something as stupid as Lila's lies. That was until we noticed an Akuma flying in courtyard, Luka held me tighter and stared at me with worry in his eyes.

"(Y/n), we believe you so please calm down. I don't want to see you turn into a super villain over some lies. I know that you're very sweet, kind hearted, blunt, and true, you've never told a lie and I know you'd never lie about your past. So please, Bunny, please calm down for me and smile.", Luka begged as everyone around us calmed themselves and relaxed to avoid getting akumatized.

"I-I'm okay.", I told myself shaking in his arms, "I'm okay, I'm not a murderer, I'm just me."

Luka held me tighter afraid if the Akuma was coming for me but I relaxed to his warmth and watched as the little butterfly flew away from us. Soon the quiet courtyard was busy with students blabbering about different topics. I sighed and became comfortable against Luka's  chest letting my body melt against his warm body temperature.

"Hey are you guys okay?", Marinette called running to us with Alya and the others in tow.

"Yeah we're fine, Luka got (Y/n) to calm down so she didn't get akumatized.", Adrien answered allowing me more time to be in Luka's arms.

Luka softly kissed my forehead in until I stared up at him which allowed him to pepper my tear stained face.

"We gotta get to class guys we're running late.", Alya added in ruffling my hair to help me cheer up.

"You guys go on ahead, (y/n) and I have an open period so I'll stay here with her.", Luka smiled.

My younger friends all nodded and walked off to class leavin me alone with Luka. He refused to let go of me as if I truly had been akumatized, he was scared I could tell by his heartbeat but he wouldn't stop smiling at me.

"You aren't a bad person (y/n), you have a heart of gold, the voice of an angel, and the beauty of a symphony. Don't ever forget that okay?", Luka smiled resting his forehead against mine.

"Okay Luka.", I sighed kissing his lips sweetly as he rested his hand against my cheek.

Lost in our own little world I hadn't noticed Lila glaring at me from behind a pillar, her plan for me was only beginning and I'm not sure I'd be able to handle it on my own.
