Incoming Danger

(Narrator's pov)
With the wind in your hair you hopped across the city rooftops smiling down on the active city. You hung off a building gargoyle and smiled down at the crowd below, you felt uneasy lately so you decided to do patrol. That's when you noticed something from the corner of your eye, a strange glowing crystal erected from the ground and seemed to be moving.

"What the hell is that?", you growled touching the strange rock that immeadiatly set your glove ablaze.

Your tranformation broke while you bit your tongue to hold back your screams. The strange flame irritated your deterioration so your viens began to turn purple, Ginn began to panic seeing you in so much pain.

"Your body is dying quicker then before. (Y/n) hold still.", the grey kwami growled touching your arm as his eyes began to glow white.

He tried to contain your injury but his abilities couldn't stop it, you sighed and ordered him to stop. You had to tell Ladybug about this, this strange rock could only be trouble.

"The glow coming from it is shaped like butterflies, I bet I can guess who did this.", you hissed grasping your arm as the searing pain worsened.

Ginn whined to your discomfort and rubbed his cheek against yours even if it couldn't help the pain. With help from his magic you were able to create the illusion of a perfectly fine arm, to the naked eye your injuries couldn't be seen so you'd have enough time to get home and heal yourself. You quietly snuck out of the alley way and swayed through traffic as fast as you could.

"Glowing rocks, equal bad.", you thought to yourself, "Glowing rocks, equal bad."

You were so lost in thought that you hadn't realized that you were going to walk into someone and with your luck it just had to be Luka.

"Hi (Y/n), nice bumping into you today.", he chuckled.

Your face heated up and he smiled, you were unaware of the drop in color on your face but Luka was quick to notice it.

"Hey are you okay? You're all pale Bunny, do you want me to walk you home?", he asked reaching up to touch your face.

Your mind was in panic due to the pain, it began showing you things that you wished you didn't see. Instead of Luka you saw Hawkmoth reaching out for you, your inner fear was starting to show. You slapped away Luka's hand and began to shake, you smiled at him and quickly ran away leaving him in shock to what had just happened. As you ran away something stayed in your head, a fear, the rocks had done something to you. Once you were home you tried to get your breathing back on track, you were terrified of something and it began to show. Ginn was worried about you, but a feeling in his stomach overpowered his urge to help you. He barred his fangs at the window and began to growl, four akumas had fluttered into your home attracted by your negative emotions.

"F-four? Why are there four? Oh my god...I-I'm gonna be akumatized.", (y/n) cried backing away till her back reached the door.

"Don't panic young master, I'll protect you.", Ginn growled glowing a bright white in front of you, "Close your eyes."

You did as told and when Ginn was clear of injuring you he discharged a bright wave of energy from his body and purified the butterflies. Your knees gave way to the shock of what had just happened, tears flooded from your eyes as all the stress you held in finally escaped. Everything sucked, you were afraid just like anyone else! You were afraid of Hawkmoth, of Mayura, of dying! You didn't know what to do anymore, you could only handle so much on your own! You had always been alone but now that you had others by your side you realized that you just couldn't handle solitude anymore.

"Sadness, guilt, fear, and paranoia, that's what attracted all those Akumas. You have alot of emotional baggage young master, you need to vent to someone about it. This strange rock is indeed linked to Hawkmoth and if we are to defeat him then we need you at 100%. Go talk to Luka or a friend, someone that can help you better than I can.", Ginn whined his fur becoming whiter as his death came with yours.

"I don't know what to do Ginn, I'm scared to actually do what I have to do. What if I fail?", you sighed holding yourself.

"You won't, not with me by your side."

You chuckled and pressed a kiss to your partners head feeling a bit reassured by his words. There was a knock at your door and no doubt you knew who it was. You didn't bother trying to wipe away your tears and let Ginn hide in your hoodie pouch as you opened the door to see Luka. He was worried but his worry grew seeing you in tears even if you just quietly held him like a baby koala. He continued to ask you if you were all right and when you mentioned the akumas he stopped talking about it and just held you. You vented all your emotions to him but you held back anything that would incriminate you and blow your cover as Howl. Luka was patient with you and listened quietly to your rant until you eventually began to get sleepy, he chuckled and placed a kiss on your lips before walking you to bed. You passed out listening to his sweet lullaby and he left with a soft smile on his face. Little did you know that as you slept Viperion had found the strange rock you had mentioned before and destroyed it with his whip. An angry frown rested on his face as he glared up at the sky and promised himself that he'd protect you. Lila's warning might be coming true and due to these rocks it may be rather soon.

"I'll protect her, no matter what I'll protect (Y/n)."
