Old Man, A Family Secret

(Master Fu's pov)
I was unsure why I came here, especially knowing that Hawkmoth and Mayura were nearby but the moment I saw that young wolf girl jump at them I knew I had to stop her. Wayzz hesitantly entered the turtle bracelet transforming me into Jade Turtle and I quickly made my way between the Villains, my Students, and the Rogue miraculous user.

"SHELL-TER!", I commanded creating a protective orb between all of the surrounding parties.

The wolf girl stop and jumped back before growling at me, while in my orb I turned and glared at my enemies signaling for them to leave since Mayura could obviously no longer handle her miraculous. Soon the two villains were gone and I could now safely return to my students' side.

"You should be ashamed of yourself, you are incapable of controlling your emotions, you fight without thinking and you put others in danger.", I scolded glaring at the hero before me, "Someone who can't even put others before her should not be allowed to be a hero let alone have a miraculous."

The wolf girl glared at me before she began to chuckle and stumble back, her chuckle became a laugh but I found nothing funny about this situation.

"Someone...who can't put others before themselves? Oh that's rich coming from you, a man who couldn't even protect his own daughter from those people!", You growled.

My body froze in shock to your words, how could someone so young know such a dark secret of my past? How did you even get the Wolf Miraculous?

"How do you know about that young lady?", I growled.

The girl's (h/c) hair began to curl up in anger, whatever she knew was a burden on her but if I had to then as a Guardian of the Miraculous I would defeat her and destroy that horrid ear cuff.

"How do I know? Maybe because I'm the little granddaughter that you never wanted to visit! Mother always told me that you were a good person and that one day you'd visit us, but you never did and my mom died because she protected your secret and me! Yéyé, I lost I everyone I loved because of you!", She cried tears streaming from her mask as her miraculous began to beep.

Her words left me frozen in shock, I watched her run away even as Chat have chase but it was too late. I detransformed and fell to my knees in shock, it was true. My daughter did have a child but because I put my Guardianship and my hate for her husband before family I lost all of them.

"Master Fu! Are you alright? I-is Howl really your granddaughter?", Ladybug asked obvious shock lacing all of her words.

Chat soon returned but I knew he was unable to catch her, I sat staring at my hands recalling the one and only time I had ever held her in my arms. I never believed that after all this time she'd survived the incident, I had left her in that house alone to fend for herself.

"Master.", Ladybug called snapping me out of my trance.

I stared at both of my students in shock before calming my thoughts, I told them both to let their Kwami's rest while I recalled the story. After about ten minutes they returned, Chat sat crisscross in front of me almost excited to listen while Ladybug watched over me carefully as if I were a frail dandelion.

"It happened about nine years ago, after much thought I decided to give my Daughter's husband my blessing. He made her happy despite how much I felt he was unworthy of her. It was around that time that Hawkmoth and the previous Mayura began reeking havoc in China due to the previous Howl breaking the Peacock miraculous. My daughter was a Guardian as well, but she was the guardian of the Wolf Miraculous. No matter how much I told her to destroy it she protected the wolf miraculous as if it was her child, she herself was raising my granddaughter. I never truly got to know her since I was so consumed in my work and I thought I had lost her until today.", I explained smiling practically in tears as I pulled out the last photo of my daughter while she held her newborn daughter.

Ladybug stared at me sympathetically, but Chat...I guess my story stuck a nerve with him because he stared off in the direction you ran to with a sad look on his face.

"Everyone in that household died from the fire but my granddaughter...it looks like the Wolf Miraculous protected her but she is going down a dark path. Her miraculous is fueled by her intent for revenge and it is slowly killing her...all because I couldn't be there for my family when they needed me the most.", I sighed letting my tears finally fall as I held my photo to my chest.

Nine long years, you were alone and had to fend for yourself for nine years... While I lived on a normal life. How cruel could I be to make you go through that alone!

"Come on Master, I'll take you home. Get home safe Chat.", Ladybug smiled lifting me onto her back.

Chat smiled at us as we disappeared into the air but he obviously had something on his mind about my story. If only I could remember your name, I failed you once but I won't fail you again granddaughter.

(Y/n's pov)
After my encounter with my grandfather I disappeared into the alley way to think for a moment, he was here which means he has the last miraculous box with him. If I could get my hand on another Miraculous I'd have more time to find Hawkmoth...no that's a terrible idea! I can't put another innocent Kwami in danger just because of some stupid revenge plot!

"(Y/n)! Are you okay?!", Luka yelled finding me as I emerged from the alleyway, "I've been looking everywhere for you, you had me worried sick."

I smiled weakly at him and lightly rested my forehead against his chest, I know I'm just worrying him more but I'm at peace when I'm by his side.

"Sorry Luka, I didn't mean to worry you. How are the kids?", I asked obviously trying to change the subject.

"Huh? Oh I found their parents nearby so they got home safe.", He replied nervously pulling me into a hug.

I hugged him back and relaxed to his scent, I don't know how he possibly smells like the sea but he does. 

"We should probably get going, I have a concert in a couple of hours and I might need to change the strings on my guitar. You're coming tonight right?", Luka asked with a smile.

I smile back and replied yes which only seemed to make him happier, we started leaving but that's when I realized that I haven't seen Ginn since we changed back. I wonder where that little furball could've gone? Hopefully he doesn't get himself into any trouble.
