Miraculous Song

Deterioration

I knew I wouldn't last long in this form, but I had to help. Ladybug and Chat can only do so much and if I can help in anyway then I will.

"Puppy!", Chat cheered hopping onto the rooftop with me.

I smiled seeing him but he seemed to notice how pale I was. He didn't say anything of it but I could tell from his eyes that he was worried. Once we made it towards the epicenter of the quakes we watched as a huge fountain of water erupted just in front of the building we were on, Chat and I stared up at the sky as Ladybug and Viperion started falling from their new spot in the sky. Chat used his baton to reach both of them and landed safely on the rooftop with me again.

"Howl?! Where have you been? I haven't seen you in weeks!", Ladybug cheered hopping onto me for a hug.

"Sorry LB just caught a bit of a cold.", I lied trying to avoid her learning the truth about my current situation.

Viperion looked a bit distracted, he was peering out over the streets as if looking for someone, I wish I could tell him I'm right here...but he couldn't know about me, not yet. Just when I was about to say something a strange shark like create emerged from the river soaking everything nearby.

"I am gonna smell like wet dog soon if this keeps up.", I sighed getting a chuckle out of Chat but a cold grunt from Viperion.

Ladybug instructed me where the Akuma was to attack it and soon we had a plan, but would my body allow me to pull through with my end of things. All I had to do was attack the dorsal fin and break the Akuma out, easy right? I hopped into the air allowing my body to spin so I was able to look down and the fin and take aim but little did I know that the beast's tail would be able to get me from so high. Suddenly it's heavy tail hovered over me and slammed against my body forcing me to break a crater in pavement below. It took me a second to recover but avoiding another tail slap was reason enough for me to force myself out of the way.

"Hey Pup you alright?", Chat asked seeming worried by my sudden heavy breathing and pale face.

"Wasn't expecting this to be that easy...damn it. I don't think I can do this.", I sighed propping myself on my knees while I tried to catch my breath.

Chat was able to get Lb's attention but Viperion didn't look all to excited to see me as I was, "T-take a picture it'll last longer.", I coughed glaring up at him as I forced myself to stand up straight.

Ladybug could tell there was tension and quickly summoned her lucky charm, the timer was off we had five minutes to take care of this or lil Lady would be getting exposed. I noticed her eyes staring at a building and then the strangely large blanket she had conjured up. That's when a new plan brewed in her mind, she ordered the boys to distract the strange beast and I followed behind her as best and fast as I could. She gave me on end of the blanket and pulled her end, soon I was able to see what she wanted to do and we just had to wait for our moment. The boys quickly pushed the villain back towards us and with a single whistle he became confused. Using the blanket as a blindfold we wrapped the villain's eyes and used all of our strength and weight to pull him down to the ground making him break his own dorsal fin where the Akuma hid. Ladybug happily captured and purified the small butterfly and sent it off.

"I had a great time Lb but I really gotta go.", Luka growled angrily and yet somehow softly placing the miraculous box in her hand before running off.

"Geez what's his deal? Luka's usually so calm and cool...but today he's seems totally feral.", Chat sighed groaning as his miraculous began to beep but that's when it happened.

"He's just worried, I heard his girlfriend disappeared so he's been looking all over for her to make sure she's safe.", Ladybug sighed.

My body slowly began to glow white but it wasn't a normal ability of mine, they both stared at me in wonder but then it was silent. They're miraculouses suddenly stopped beeping and we're fully recharged but began to spit up black sludge. I fell to my knees coughing and struggling to breathe as more of this strange liquid purged itself from my body, Ladybug stared at me in shock as Chat tried his best to soothe me with several back rubs. My body started switching between all of my forms unable to settle on one that would ease my suffering.

My (e/c) hues stared up at the spotted hero in fear, "H-help...me.", I cried coughing up sludge and blood as my deterioration worsened.

"Chat we have to take her to Master Fu.", Ladybug decided picking me up on her back while I struggled to stay conscious.

Chat agreed and soon I was being carried across Paris to meet with the very man I hated most, my grandfather. Ladybug left me in Chat's care on the rooftop, I struggled to stay awake and breathe since my whole body felt numb and scorched like a roasted pig. Chat seemed worried by my unnatural breathing and to my surprise he handed me an inhaler, he smiled at me and motioned for me to use it.

"Don't worry I don't have cooties, it may not help but it's worth trying.", He spoke softly sitting next to me as I leaned against him for support.

"Y-you...have asthma?", I choked out.

He nodded his head and brushed my sweaty (h/c) bangs out of my face as I used his inhaler. Just as I began to nod off from exhaustion Master Fu arrived to see my weakened state. He seemed rattled by our last encounter but worry and fear was etched all over his face. His Kwami, little Wayzz recognized me from long ago but with my finger against my lips to quiet him he said nothing.

"Oh Howl...your deterioration has gone to far to turn back. You'll die.", My grandfather whispered obvious heartbreak in every word.

Suddenly my body began to glow again and a white shadow of my hero form appeared next to me, it's arms were wrapped protectively around my head and it said, "Cure my Master, I don't want her to die so young.", Before returning to my body as I fainted.

Master Fu hurriedly rushed me inside and mixed several strange ingredients together, despite how much pain it was to be in this form I forced myself to stay in hero form draining my own life force just to keep my transformation stable.

"I-I just need one more ingredient! That's all I need to help her...but I don't have it. Life's dew? What could that mean?", Fu growled to himself worrying about you.

I groaned forcing myself up, staggering over to his mixing pot, biting my long black glove to reveal my bare arm. Everyone gasped watching as I slashed my wrist with my claws allowing my strangely colored blood to ooze into the mix. I forced the potion down my throat despite the disgusting taste, once that searing pain in my viens disappeared I decided to take my leave. Chat tried to keep me down for a bit but I knew I couldn't stay, if Luka was worrying about me than he's probably going bald from not hearing from me.

"Howl! Please you have to stop! Master said you could die if you keep that miraculous. Please. PLEASE! I don't want to lose you.",  Ladybug cried finally hearing her miraculous go off. 

"I'm sorry I can't do it, I told you before...now please stay away from me."

The blue haired hero cried seeing me disappear but I knew I couldn't avoid my fate. I'd either give up my miraculous or die doing what I had to do. I'm gonna deteriorate and die soon enough but at least I can be happy with what I have now, though I should really call Luka.
