Welcome, readers!

I've never published on this site before and this particular type of story is not what I usually write about. Well, I have written romantic stories but action is my favorite and best forte. As you are no doubt already aware of, this is a fillie story. And while I like the idea of them being together, I would never in a million years force anything on them. It either happens or it doesn't. However, this is my version of how it could happen and I will indeed be writing my take on what Stranger Things 4 could include and beyond. That said, enjoy the first chapter!

We belong to the light, we belong to the thunder
We belong to the sound of the words we've both fallen under
Whatever we deny or embrace for worse or for better
We belong, we belong, we belong together-Pat Benatar

"And cut!"

Finn's ears registered Shawn's sharp voice, the tension in his body spiking briefly before flooding away, replaced by a slight shaking and it took great effort not to just collapse into a tangle of limbs from the fatigue. It's nothing. He chided himself. Nothing compared to what she's going through.

His gaze shifted away from Shawn, catching the words "take 10" before zoning out to focus on Millie. He watched as she shuffled off towards her chair, her body slouching as she plopped down before letting out a shuddering breath.  He witnessed her hand trembling as she wiped away at the sweat trickling down her face.

A pensive look seized hold of his features. He knew that particular body language all too well. He had seen her fall before; knew that it was all too possible for her to fall again and the protective part of his heart could not abide that.

Finn looked around, noting the rest of the cast conversing with Shawn and he took a chance, stalking back into the shower room that connected to the sauna. A few crew members watched him pass but he paid them no mind, eyes darting about before falling on a small stack of pristine white wash cloths. He snatched the top one before heading to the nearby sink then reached out to turn on the cold water spigot.

Finn tested the water,  waiting until it was just about freezing before soaking the fabric. He shut off the water, ringing out the cloth then marched back into the sauna room, bypassing and ignoring the curious looks of his co-stars as he slowed to a stop to the right of Millie's chair, voice soft as he called out, "Mills?"

Millie blinked slowly at the sound of Finn's voice, drawn out of her haze and she turned her head, watching as her co-star crouched down beside her. His features were haggard, the worry radiating off him in waves as their eyes met and she knew... knew he was concerned over her and her heart fluttered at the thought of how much he cared.

Stop that! she berated herself. He's your good friend. Friends worry over each other! That's all this is! And yet, she couldn't help but wish it was more than just friendly concern.

They've had their ups and downs the past year, their close friendship tested by external and internal forces, causing hurt feelings on both sides and she hated it. Hated how far they had drifted apart.

There were things she couldn't tell him and reasons she couldn't give for what she had done. Maybe someday she would tell him the truth, but for now, she was just happy to have their friendship mended. "Hey, Finnie," she greeted, quirking an eyebrow at the cloth in his hand. "What's that?"

He looked down at the cloth then back at her, holding it out for her to take. "A cold wash cloth. Thought it'd help cool you down a bit."

She gently took the damp fabric from his hand, favoring him with a tender smile, "It is rather stifling in here. Thank you." Lifting the cloth, Millie patted her face then around the back of her neck, the cold a welcome contrast to her overheated skin.
