Chapter 9

Franki's POV

Kasama ko si Jamie ngayon, she offered me a ride. But I know na ang mangyayari dito hindi lang basta paghatid, for sure itutuloy nya yung matagal na nyang pinaplano na manuod.

She's driving and eto lang ako beside her praying for guidance na wag sana akong magkamali,

"Ayan, dapat lang. Ask for forgiveness before you sin. Madadagdagan na naman kasalanan mo. Tsk tsk tsk." Sabi nito kaya napatigil ako.

"What are you talking about?."

"Lust. It's one of the 7 deadly sins. To have an intense desire or need: like it is stated in (Matthew 5:28).  “But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart”. You'll feel that later. And probably imagine yourself rotting in hell seconds after."

"Fair enough, you committed gluttony after all. Besides, lust is such a strong word. Magkaiba yun sa appreciative."

"Excuses excuses--let's see who gets her pants wet later."

I just rolled my eyes. I can't believe I'm friends with this pervert.

Diana's POV

Binabasa ko parin ang script na binago na naman. Buti naman at di nako ginugulo ni Argel kasi naging busy na sya sa pakikipag-usap kay Direk. Vaklang Twooh!

At hanggang sa di ko na namalayan ang oras. I heard them outside saying Franki's here. And there goes that stupid rapid heartbeat again.

Hingang malalim. Haaayst. Hindi ko na talaga kaya.

Diana, look. You're just overthinking. Sabi ko sa sarili sa salamin.

Biglang pumasok si Franki, at bigla nalang akong napabalikwas hitting everything on the table, make up, brush,  etc. Pinulot ko lahat ng nahulog awkwardly.

Ano ba tong nangyayari sakin?.

Nagulat naman ako nang tulungan ako ni Franki.

"A-are you okay?." She asked worriedly. Oh, ngayon ko lang napansin, she's with her bestfriend-uh Jamie.

"Y-yeah. I-I am--I was just going to the bathroom, be right back." Pautal utal kong sagot running as fast as I could papuntang CR, kahit halos magkanda dapadapa nako.

Pagdating ko sa CR, naghilamos nalang ako. At tiningnan ang sarili. Diana, kung ano man yang nararamdaman mo ngayon pigilan mo. You're not possibly falling for her. Like come on, be professional. Do this for work.

Franki is obviously straight. And you're a coward Diana. You don't deserve her, just like you don't deserve V. You can't just lose Franki because of your stupidity. You can't just risk your friendship. You're just starting to get along.

At dahil sa mindset na yun, nagawa kong kumalma. I had stopped myself from thinking too much about the whole situation, I started caring more about my job, my career and all the people I love. Especially my family.
