Yuri's POV 3rd Person Omniscient

Yuri woke up freezing cold at 6 am. He hadn't a single cover on him. He rolled over and was surprised, in his half asleep form, that Victor was in the bed, and that HE had every single cover on top of him and was sleeping peacefully, cocooned in their warmth. Seeing this in his foggy, sleep muddled brain Yuri stuck his arm out, reached across the bed and yanked the covers back to his side. He went back to sleep.

This time it was Victor who woke up freezing and cover-less, he squinted to the other side of the bed and to his mingled surprise and delight he saw Yuri sleeping soundly with all the covers on top of him. He looks like a pork cutlet bowl thought Victor smiling sleepily. He was going to drag the covers away from Yuri and back to himself but stopped at the last moment. He got up out of the bed and gathered the blankets he'd tossed all over the floor the previous night. He slid back into bed and spread them clumsily over himself with slow unresponsive fingers.

"Oh my god!!" Minako was standing in the doorway of their hotel room and surveying the scene before her with delight etched in her every feature.

Yuri jumped out from under the covers and sat bolt upright in the bed blinking dazedly and trying to figure out where the unintelligible shriek that woke him had come from. At the same time and on the other side of the bed Victor let out a yell, rolled, and fell onto the floor with a crash.

"Oh! I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I thought you two were up, it is 12 after all, and we'd arranged to meet in the hall right now but you guys didn't show up so I... broke in. But then I saw you two, like that, and I got excited. Sorry again!" Minako said in a rush eyeing the two bedraggled men.

Yuri looked around, it seemed that Minako, who was standing in the corner made the noise that woke him up. But she hadn't fallen down, so what was that crash? Victor poked his head up from behind the bed and groaned. Yuri turned to him, so he was what made the crash. But for him to have done that he must have fallen out of the bed, meaning they were in bed together, meaning... what? The events from last night slowly made their way back to him, and it all made sense. Victor had fallen asleep, and he was too tired to make the fold up bed for himself.

"What was that noise?" Victor asked as he got up off the floor with a grimace.

"I'm sorry!" Minkao repeated and she made her way toward the middle of the room.

"We heard you." Yuri said thickly as he too got up and stretched. "Wait, what did you say before, about the time?" He asked slowly, remembering her previous words.

"What about it? It's 12- Oh! Now it's 1:00, and the taxi's ready and waiting outside." Minako said with a horrified look on her face.

"No!" Yuri screamed as he scrambled around, surveying the room with wide eyed terror. Clothes, skates, and possessions strewn around like a tornado had passed through. "I was so tired last night I forgot to set the alarm!" Yuri shrieked.  He flew around the room grabbing his things and throwing them haphazardly into his open luggage as Victor did the same with his. Minako ran into the bathroom and grabbing the plastic bag by the sink and tossing their toiletries inside, once that was finished she moved on to carefully packing their skates each bag, making sure nothing was left behind. In fact the skating equipment of his and Victor's she packed were the only things shown any car in their mad dash to pack. In ten minutes they were out of the hotel, Yuri and Victor still in their pajamas, but with coats and shoes on ready for the plane.

Two hours later Yuri, Victor, and Minako slumped back in their seats on the plane with their crazed journey to make it still on their minds. "Final Boarding call for flight 276 to Hasetsu, Japan!" They'd arrived at the airport at 1:30, and with only an hour and a half to get through the maze of customs and security they'd jumped, dodged, and weaved through countless obstacles, luggage in hand, only to arrive seconds before the flight attendant closed the door. Panting, they fastened their seat belts and listened to the flight attendant's safety announcements.

Hours later Yuri's 3rd movie had finished and Victor was still sleeping comfortably, head lolling on Yuri's shoulder. Yuri didn't mind though, he loved it. Deciding to try and catch up on his sleep during the 9 hour flight ahead he took off his earphones, put his head on top of Victor's and closed his eyes.

9 and a half hours later Yuri, Victor, and Minako stepped onto the gleaming floor of the international arrivals hall where Yuko said she'd meet them. The trio sat down on one of the large red circular auto-man-like things placed around the hall instead of chairs. Victor sighed, he still wasn't used to not riding first class whenever he had to travel. Before their trip to Barcelona he'd begged Yuri "Can we ride first class if I pay for the tickets?"

"No,"

"Please?"

"No."

"Why?!"

"Because you need to learn how normal people live their lives, and that means,  NO FIRST CLASS." Yuri'd explained, he found Victor's puppy-ish innocence and confusion both endearing and exasperating at the same time.  Present day Yuri smiled at the thought. Now he thought about it he and Victor had been together far longer than either of them had thought.

"YURI!!" was jerked out of his thoughts  by Yuko creaming his name as she ran up to them through the crowd. "Good job at the Final! You were so amazing, I'm so proud of you!!" She engulfed him in a hug.

"T-thanks Yuko," Yuri said startled, but grinning at the same time. "You already told me that though, when you and Mari called me the night of."

"Yeah, but not in person, and not with a hug." Yuko said firmly. "It was necessary." All four of them laughed and headed back to the car.

Yuri had been dreading the interaction between himself, Victor, and his family when they arrived ever since hearing what Victor had told him about the phone call. But Yuri was pleasantly surprised when he found his family members, who were waiting by the door, to made no mention that anything had changed when they welcomed the weary travelers, and Yuko, inside. Or so he thought.

"Treat him well." His mother whispered in Yuri's ear as she took his arm and gently guided him into the dining room with the others "He's a good one."
