Yuri!!! On Ice Book 1

Chapter 7

Yuri's POV 3rd Person Omniscient

"Where the hell have you been?!" Shouted Yurio as they finally saw his blonde head in the crowd.

Yuri held the once steaming, now lukewarm, coffee out in front of him as a peace offering. Reluctantly, the teen took it. The three started their journey back to the car park, all the while Yurio grumbling about how far away it was, and couldn't they have found a better spot? Yuri fought the impulse to remind Yurio that it was he who sent them on a wild goose chase to the wrong buildings to find him, which was why the car was so far away, deciding that it would be his birthday present. That was actually the reason Yurio was here, for his birthday, today was February 27th, and Yurio's birthday was on March 1st. Yuri and Victor had wanted to either visit him on his birthday or have him come here and stay for awhile. To their immense surprise he'd wanted to come to Hasetsu instead of them visiting him. When asked why, he just muttered something about the people, pork cutlet bowls, and quite strangely, about Yuko. Yuko?? Yuri'd had no idea they'd been in touch, and was even more surprised when he was informed, by Yuko of course, that Yurio had mentioned he didn't mind her presence. A very affectionate thing for Yurio to say, even over text. Yuri was wondering what he could've possibly meant by that when he finally spotted their car. "Over here guys, this way!" He called toward the other two straggling behind him. Or- maybe, struggling, would be the right word for it, Victor was hugging Yurio in a way that had both arms pinned to his sides as Yurio screamed swears at him and fought to break free. They were causing quite a scene, people watched them from all over, and muttered to themselves. "Stop it both of you!" Yuri scolded, "Victor get off of him! They'll think you're trying to kidnap him!" Yuri rolled his eyes and got into the car as Victor hesitantly let go of Yurio. They both turned around, to face the gawking crowd, Yurio gave an awkward little wave and smile, then he and Victor speed-walked to the car and got in hurriedly. As Yuri turned on the car and started to drive away a figure dressed in black and grey monochrome caught his eye. The figure looked like.... Otabek Altin? Yuri glanced into the back seat to see Yurio with his faced pressed up against the glass, and staring out the window. Apparently, he too had seen the Otabek-like man on the sidewalk.

"Pull over!" Yurio yelled as they passed him. Yuri glided the car up against the pavement and stuck his head out the window. Yuri got out of the car and in one swift movement was standing right next to Otabek. His face split with a wide grin, as did Otabek's. Yuri had never seen Otabek smile before, and only seen Yurio smile twice, so this was a shock. They said something to each other, and Victor and Yuri saw Yurio's face light up. Sadly they weren't in earshot so they couldn't know what they said. Although after seeing a smile like that on Yurio's face Yuri thought ; I don't even care what they said, I just care that Otabek has the power to do that, and I hope he keeps using it" Yurio suddenly blushed dark pink and ran up to the car window,

"Um, Otabek got on the wrong plane, and has no where to stay, sooooo, can he stay with us?" Yurio asked with a bright smile on his face. Yuri and Victor blinked in unison.

"S-Sure, get in you two!" Yuri stuttered as Yurio ran back to grab Otabek's bags. "Holy shit!" He whispered to Victor, "Do you think they're...?" Victor turned to look at him and said

"If they are, YAY!!!! But if Otabek hurts him, I'll kill him." Victor said with a puppy-ish smile on his face, "It's my responsibility as Yurio's father of course."

"Of course," Yuri said quickly, "And as step-father, I'll have to help." They smiled at each other behind their hands, "They'd be so cute together!" Yuri giggled

"They'd have matching tiger onzies for the wedding!" Victor cried excitedly,
