Napa-iling na lang ako at bahagyang nagpigil ng ngiti. I honestly didn't saw it kasi nagdadasal ako kanina. Akala ko kasi bubuhusan na naman niya ako ng tubig.
"For nine months Jho, I have never seen her interact with other people nicely or even just calmly. Pero yung kanina. That was... Different." parang maiiyak na si kuya Loel sa sobrang tuwa.
I just smiled at him because the truth is, it haven't sunk into my mind yet that Bea didn't push me away.
"It's a start Jho. I can feel it. This is a good news. I'll better tell mom and dad about this. Excuse me." he said happily and went out of the dining room.
I just nodded and smiled at him. I finished what I am eating and I decided to go to my room to take an early nap when I remembered I haven't talked to my family for a while now.
Namimiss ko na talaga silang lahat. Kung pwede nga lang I'll fly back to the Philippines immediately just to visit them, edi ginawa ko na. But it isn't easy.
"Waaahhhh!!!" nagtatalon ako sa loob ng bahay namin habang sumisigaw.
"Jhoana! Anong nangyayari?! May problema ba?!" then my mom came rushing in.
Nagpupunas pa siya ng kamay kaya paniguradong nasa kusina sila kanina bago ako mag-hysterical dito sa sala.
"Ma!!!" I hugged her immediately and tightly.
"Anak ano bang nangyayari? May problema ba?" "kinakabahang sabi ni mama.
"Ma!" I said after we parted from the hug.
"Ano anak? Jusko wag ka ngang pa-suspense! Baka atakihin pa ko sa puso sa itsura mo ngayon. Ano bang meron?" nate-tense na tanong nito.
"Ma! Kas---"
"WAHHHHH!! ATE CONGRATS!! ISA KA NANG GANAP NA DOKTOR!!"
Imbis na ako ang magsabi ng good news kay mama, sumingit naman agad si Jaja. Nice one.😑
"ANO?! Totoo ba yon anak?!" hindi makapaniwalang tanong ni mama.
"Ma..." I stopped then showed her my phone with the list of the board passers in my course.
She read it audibly. "Orthopedics Board Passers for October, 2019. No. 1514, Maraguinot, Jhoana Louisse Agno."
Naluluhang tumingin si mama sa akin.
"Yes ma. Pasado po ako. Doktor na po ako!" I said then she hugged me immediately.
"Congrats anak. I'm so proud of you. Sobrang saya ko para sayo." naluluhang sabi nito. So I rubbed her back.
"Ateeee. Congratulations. Hindi ako makapaniwalang doktor ka na. Nandaya ka ba sa exam?" payakap na siya sa akin kaya pinitik ko ang noo niya.
*tok!* (sound ng pinitik na noo to ha😂)
"Aray naman ate! Joke lang yun eh!" hinimas niya ang noo niya.
"Asar pa ha. Pag ako talaga nagkatrabaho, hindi kita pag-aaralin sige!" banta ko rito.
"Joke lang naman yun ate eh. Congrats ate. Proud din ako sayo." then she finally hugged me kaya nagkaroon kami ng group hug.
"Ay teka." humiwalay naman sakin si mama at kinuha ang phone niya. "We should call your papa mga anak. We have to tell him this great news right away." napangiti naman ako at tumango.
