"Ate Ells, tumawag ka ng doktor."
I told ate Ella immediately. Agad naman siyang lumabas para tumawag ng doktor as Deanna and I tried to talk to papa.
"Pa, are you going to wake up? Please gumising ka na. We are waiting for you."
"What's happening?"
Napalingon naman kami sa doktor na dumating.
"Doc, si papa po. His fingers are moving. Is he going to wake up now?" I asked him.
"Excuse me." He held his stethoscope and checked my father's heartbeat.
After that he checked my father's hand and arms.
"He's not yet going to wake up."
Laglag-balikat at buntong-hininga na lang ang nagawa ko sa sinabi ng doktor.
"He is not yet awake physically." he added kaya naging interesado kaming tatlo sa sinasabi niya.
"Maybe he already woke up mentally. And he's already trying to move his body and trying to wake up physically. It's a good sign. Your dad might wake up soon. I advice you to just continue talking to him. And if you see him trying to move any part of his body, then you know he's trying to finally wake up."
Ate Ella rubbed my back. I can't help but smile on what the doctor said. Malapit nang magising si Papa.
"And if that happens, tawagin niyo lang ako. And I will check him."
"Thank you doc." I smiled at him and he just nodded to me and left us.
"I told you, ate Jho. Tito John's fine now." Deanna hugged me sideways.
"I hope he wakes up the soonest."

"Bei, you have a visitor."
I looked at my kuya who is standing in my room's door.
"Who?"
Then a taller guy popped out of my door.
"Thirdy?"
"Ahm, maiwan ko na kayong dalawa." kuya said and then left us.
"What are you doing here?"
"Aren't you happy I am here?"
"Wow. Yang confidence mo Ferdinand."
He chuckled. "I'm just joking. You looked so serious kasi."
Napa-iling na lang ako. He's always been like that. He always smiles and laugh kahit hindi naman dapat.
"Ano nga kasing ginagawa mo rito?" I irritatingly asked him.
"I just want to pay you a visit. I'm going to leave San Francisco soon. And I don't want to waste a chance that I can finally talk to you properly and sensibly."
"About what?"
"About you. How are you now?" he turned into serious mode.
"I'm fine."
"Pretty good answer ha?" he said as he sat down on the sofa. "What I mean about 'how are you now' is, do you still think of what happened...last year?"
