"Ako na po tita, tulungan ko na po kayong maghugas ng pinggan."
Jho stood up and carried her plate.
"No, iha. Ako nang bahalang mag-hugas ng mga to. You should take some rest and enjoy your day. Hindi mo kailangang maghugas ng plato."
"It's fine tita. Ito lang naman po eh. Tulungan ko na po kayo."
Mom smiled and let Jho help her in washing the dishes.
While dad, kuya Loel and sir John, Jho's dad are busy talking about business while me? Ito, naiwan kasama sila.
"Pano ba yan, John? Kailangan na naming umalis ni Loel. We still have a meeting to attend to. You can stay here hanggang dinner or even until tomorrow. Para makapag-catch kayo ni Jho. We can talk some time you know, if we can merge our businesses together."
Dad said and tapped sir John's shoulder which earned a tap from him too.
"Salamat Elmer. I'll just make sure na makakabawi muna ang kompanya ko sa nangyaring nakawan at bankruptcy bago tayo mag-simula ng negosyo. At nga pala, thank you for accommodating me dito sa bahay niyo. I really appreciate your hospitality."
"Ano ka ba, wala yun, kumpadre. Jho's like a family to us already. And we want her to be happy today. We should be the one to thank you for accepting our invitation. Although you are busy."
"Wala yun, kumpadre. Basta para sa anak ko, gagawin ko ang lahat, just to make them happy."
Wow. Kumpadre? Close na sila agad?
"Okay. We have to go. See you later sa dinner kumpadre."
They shook each other's hands.
"Bye, Bei. See you later." dad hugged me and kissed me in my forehead. While nag-fist bump naman kami ni kuya.
After that, they went to the kitchen to say goodbye to Jho and to mommy.
Tapos naiwan na kami ni sir John dito sa sala.
"Ahem..." napa-angat naman ako ng ulo when I heard him fake a cough.
"Bea, tama ba?" he continued.
I just nodded. I don't know how to respond to him. He looks like a disciplinarian and a strict father. But he looks jolly naman. I guess.
"Ikaw pala yung pasyente ni Jhoana. Salamat nga pala sa pag-contact sa akin at pag-imbita mo sakin dito sa bahay niyo. I didn't expect that I still could see my daughter before I go home."
Ngumiti naman ako at bahagyang yumuko.
"It's not a problem, sir. It's Jho's birthday. And as a gift to her, we wanted sana for her to see your entire family. But regardless of being incomplete, I think Jho is happy naman because she got to see you."
"Maraming salamat, Bea. And you can call me tito John." he smiled.
"S-sige po. T-tito John." I awkwardly answered.
