JUSTINS POV:

i wake up the next morning to knocking on my bedroom door.

"yeah?" i ask, sitting up and rubbing my eyes. my door opens and anthony walks in. i glance over at my clock and see it's nine in the morning. "what's up?" i ask him.

"hey um, was someone here last night or were you doing anything?" he asks and my heart starts speeding up a little at the thought of last night. my best friends boyfriend touched me. he cheated again. i'm a horrible friend... "justin?" he says and i snap out of it.

"no. nothing happened last night." i tell him. shit i hate lying.

"but i heard noise late at night. are you lying to me?" he asks, furrowing his eyebrows. he must be so confused right now.

"no i just went to sleep last night, that was all." i tell him. he just looks at me, not knowing what to say.

"okay." is all he says and gets up, walking out of my room. i follow him, going downstairs and to the kitchen.

"where's your mom been?" i ask him quietly while he starts makes some eggs and bacon for breakfast.

"she got a new job so she has to leave very early in the morning for work." he says not looking at me. i don't say anything. i just sit there on my phone.

a few hours later after we have eaten and watched a little television, anthony told me he was going to go to raegan's. maybe ten minutes after he left, i got a text.

jayden: your little friend raegan payed me a visit.

me: what are you talking about?

jayden: he just came into my house and put his hands on me.

me: i'm sorry what?

jayden: go ask him.

i shut my phone off and went to the door, putting shoes on. great, anthony's there. he's going to have to hear this.

i got to raegan's house and saw anthony's car in the driveway. i get out of my car and walk up to his door, knocking. of course, anthony answers.

"hey justin, what are you doing here?" he asks and i take a deep breathe, just step into the house. i see raegan on the couch. i walk over and ant follows.

"what did you do?" i ask him and he just sits there, his eyes traveling all around my body.

"what do you mean?" he asks, confused.

"jayden texted me." is all i had to say for him to know what i'm talking about. he sighs, not saying anything. "i'm serious, what did you do?"

"i beat the shit out of the kid, alright?" he snaps and i just stare at him, tilting my head.

"rae this was over a while ago. i've gotten over it. there was no point in doing that." i say and then ant takes over.

"yeah, raegan why do you care so much? yes justin got hurt but now it's over." he asks and we both look at raegan, looking for answers.

"the kid deserves more than what i gave him. he's a asshole." raegan says. i'm mad, but he's just looking out for me. but he can't anymore.

"please raegan, leave it alone." anthony says. i turn to him and he looks at me.

"can i talk to him alone for a second?" i ask and he nods after a second of thinking.

"sure." he says and walks upstairs. i look back at raegan and walk over, sitting next to him on the couch.

"jayden is a douche justin, he deserves everything that's coming at him. he hurt you and i swear-"

"hey hey." i cut him off, putting my hands on his face. he glances at my lips every once and a while as we look into each other's eyes.

"i know you care about me, and i care about you too. but, i can handle myself. jayden is out of my life now, i dont have to worry about him anymore. so please, leave it alone. and i'm sorry but i'm not going to be your rebound or whatever i am for when anthony isn't around. even if you feel something. i understand what happened last night, and i liked it. but this isn't right. i need something real, with someone who's..not my best friends boyfriend." i explain to him and i can almost see hurt in his eyes.

"i feel like i like you a lot." he says and my eyes widen, and my hands slide off his face.

"you can't, i'm sorry." i tell him and stand up.

"well i do." my back is turned to him but i stop, not moving. "you can't change my feelings."

"it's not fair." i say, turning around. he's standing up also now. "you can't have me. i cant have you. this isn't how it's supposed to be."

"you want me?" he asks immediately after i finish my sentence. i don't answer and just look at him.

"it can't happen. you're with anthony, make him happy please." i say to him. he doesn't do anything. "lastly, leave jayden alone. it's over."

i walk out of the house, going back into my car. i did the right thing, we can't be anything. it wouldn't be right. 

i drive home and go inside the house, staying in the sitting room. i scroll through my social media's, trying to forget about what just happened. then, i get a text.

raegan: you're attempt to try and keep me away from you is not going to work.

me: stay with anthony.

raegan: i will, but you're in my sight.

me: i cant be.

raegan: oh yes you can, because you are. see you soon jay.

i shut my phone off and scoff. i cannot do that to anthony. he would never forgive me. we are best friend. best friends don't try and take each other's boyfriends. i need to be his best friend.
