Chapter Ten | I Can't Believe I Actually Wanted You To Kiss Me.

Hours after Bellamy had practically forbade Aurora from leaving to find that thing, Clarke and Finn came back into camp. Aurora's stomach pinched as she spotted them. They had been gone alone for hours and Clarke's hair was a mess, clothing wrinkled.

Aurora frowned as Finn's eyes met hers, something flashing in them for a moment. Before Aurora could decipher it, it was gone. Finn smiled as he poked Clarke in the arm, the girl bringing a worried gaze to him. It was just like Clarke to be worried. It seemed that the emotion never left the girl's face.

Aurora sped walked up the pair, determined to know if Clarke had seen the flashing light too.

"Looks like everyone's up." Finn remarked as he scanned the kids running around.

"Did you see it?" Aurora asked as she approached, her voice was strained some and that didn't go unnoticed by Clarke or Finn. Finn and Clarke shared a quick look, frowning.

"Yeah, we did." Clarke answered as she pursed her lips in thought.

Finn sighed.

"It's gotta be from the Ark, right?" Aurora asked with furrowed brows. She was almost positive that the light in the sky was from the Ark. What is was, she didn't know but she needed to find out. She glanced between Clarke and Finn slowly.

Something between them seems to have changed, and Aurora couldn't really understand what it was. Clarke seemed... different. Lighter, still a over-thinker though. It was weird. She was always concerned or worried but right now... It seems that for once that emotion had dimmed in her eyes. Aurora could see a spark of happiness that wasn't there before. Aurora crossed her arms over her chest as Clarke snuck a look at Finn who seemed to be holding back a smile. "What's up with you too?"

Finn and Clarke snapped wide eyes to the girl before them. Clarke's eyes were so wide in fact that they looked as if they were about to pop from her head. Aurora grew even more confused as she pulled her eyes to Finn. His lips were pressed into a straight line, eyes staring everywhere but at her. He cleared his throat, glancing at Clarke. "N-Nothing."

Aurora's frown deepened. "Your lying."

This made Clarke even more on edge, the girl now wringing her hands together nervously.

"What?" Aurora barked, fed up. "It's not like you too slept together."

Clarke's face heated up instantly. Finn, on the other hand bit down on his lip hard, face darkening.

"No." Aurora whispered, backing up. She locked eyes with Finn, finally. She scoffed at him, crossing her arms over her chest as anger flared. "Of course you did."

Finn's eyes hardened as he silently stared at Aurora, the two in a standoff. Clarke stared between them nervously, confused by Aurora's harsh actions and the look on Finn's face.

"Don't even start-" Finn growled, fists clenching.

"Start what?" Aurora snapped back just as harsh, the anger that always loomed rushing to the surface. Clarke stared at Aurora's face as her eyes turned icy, jaw set. The girl's face had morphed in mere seconds, the broken girl Clarke had seen before vanishing from sight. There was a fire swirling in the girl's gaze, a fire that made the hair on Clarke's neck rise in alarm. Her heart sped up, eyes then focusing in on Finn. He was angry, that she could tell but Finn's cold eyes and glare was nothing compared to Aurora. Aurora took a step towards the boy. "You mean tell Clarke-"

Finn pushed Aurora back hard, the girl's words cutting off as she stumbled. Finn's face was twisted in a rage they had never seen before, bloodthirsty eyes locked on Aurora as she glanced up at him in surprise. Clarke's mouth was agape as she stared, frozen. Aurora breathed hard through her nose, nostrils flaring as she straightened up. Her teeth were bared as she held Finn with a predatory gaze. "Lay your hands on me again, Space Walker and I'll kill you."
