Chapter XX

"Oh come on, look at the bright side!" Rita exclaimed opening the door to the house. "What bright side? Everyone thinks I'm some kind of weirdo walking around with a little girl." I replied as we walked inside. "Well... At least my arm has finally healed!" She laughed. "How does that have anything to do with me?" I sighed heavily. "It doesn't. But you need to stop freaking out." Rita said crossing her arms. "Easy for you to say, you're not parading around with a kid!" I yelled. "Enough!" Alecto interrupted slamming the door. "I am not a child! Stop speaking as if I were not here! If I am causing such a problem... Then perhaps I should not attend school!" The Fury screamed. "N-no! Just because he's having an episode doesn't mean you have to do that. Come on, let's just cool off for a while." Rita intervened. Alecto glared at me, then walked away without a word. "I thought we agreed to stay on her good side..." The blonde sighed following her. I was completely speechless. "She is right. Sister is one you should keep happy." Megaera said. I turned around and saw the other two Furies standing awkwardly. I just took a deep breath and went to my room.

I laid on my bed in the dark. After a few moments of silence, someone walked in the room and shut the door. "Hey, ever hear of privacy?" I growled sitting up. I turned on a light and saw Tisiphone. "I-I am sorry..." She mewed cautiously approaching. "Nah, it's fine. What's up?" I sighed. "W-why did you leave...?" She asked looking at the floor. "You mean school? I have to." I answered scratching my head. "But I... I need you to stay!" Tisiphone blurted trembling. "I-it's alright, just calm down." I staggered standing up and walking towards her. "No! You must remain-" I cut her off by hugging her. After we stopped, The youngest sister gazed in confusion. "W-why...?" She sniffled. "So you would listen. You know you can come with me, so can Megaera. Remember?" I chuckled. "Really...?" She gasped quietly. I nodded. "Then I shall begin this 'school' you speak of tomorrow!" The Fury stated with a smile. "Fine by me. But if you'll excuse me, I need to talk to Alecto." I said silently. "Before you leave..." Tisiphone whispered while grabbing my arm. "Huh?" I asked turning around. Then she hugged me and gave me a kiss on the cheek. "I cannot wait for tomorrow..." She giggled letting go of me. I laughed and went to find the oldest Fury...
