"I really don't see why everyone is so excited for this tournament. People die. What's so exciting about that?" Hermione complained as she watched another person place their name in the goblet.
"Eternal glory." Nadia stated.
Cedric was then pushed to the goblet by his group of friends. He visibly gulped before placing a piece of parchment in the blue flame. His smile reappeared as he leaped into the group of laughing Hufflepuffs, sending a small nod to Nadia as they locked eyes.
Hermione nudged her side, her eyebrows raised. "It's nothing." Nadia dismissed. "He helped me the other day, that's all." Hermione returned to her book, a small smile playing on her face.
Suddenly, the twins raced in, a cheering crowd behind them. "Thank you. Thank you. Well lads, we've done it!"
"Cooked it up just this morning."
Hermione scoffed. "It's not going to work." She taunted in a sing-song voice, not taking her eyes off her book.
George slung and arm around Nadia as Fred sat next to Hermione, a mischievous smirk on his face. "Oh yeah? And why's that Granger?"
Hermione scoffed again. "You see this?" She gestured to the blue ring surrounding the goblet. "This is an age line. Dumbledore drew it himself."
"So?"
She scoffed again and slammed her book shut. "So a genius like Dumbledore couldn't possibly be fooled by something so pathetically dim-witted as an age potion."
The twins rose, chuckling. "That's why it's so brilliant."
"Because it's so pathetically dim-witted."
Nadia giggled at the boys' antics as they brandished their viles of the potion. "Ready Fred?"
"Ready George." All eyes were on them as they linked arms and downed the potions, jumping over the age line.
After a second they let out cheers of success, gaining praises from the crowd.
Silence fell again as they both placed their names into the goblet, watching for anything out of the ordinary.
They beamed and high-fived when nothing happened, relishing in the roaring of the crowd.
However, all of a sudden, the goblet began to fire up. The twins were flung across the room, landing on the cobbled floor with a thud.
The crowd rushed over. As soon as they regained themselves, they sat up but their faces started sprouting long, white hair and beards. Their age potion had backfired and now they were rapidly growing old. "You said!"
"No you said!" They rolled around, fighting on the floor. The crowd was chanting, "Fight! Fight! Fight!" Hermione scoffed and returned to her book whilst Nadia just shook her head, unable to hide the grin crawling onto her face.
The room fell silent as Viktor Krum made his way to the goblet with no signs of nervousness on his features. He placed his name in without a word then turned to exit the hall, however not before casting a smile in Hermione's direction.
It was Nadia's turn to nudge the brunette. "It's nothing." She reflected her words from earlier, a sly smile residing on her face.
Nadia gasped, feigning offence. "The difference is, it is actually nothing. But you and Krum...cute."
Hermione rolled her eyes but deep down, she was screaming internally.

The last few students took their seats buzzing with anticipation.
Nadia was beside Harry but he wasn't talking to her. She was quite surprised that he hadn't asked her what happened after that dreadful DADA class. It felt like he was slipping away, as though he wasn't the same Harry that left Hogwarts in third year. It hurt.
