Nadia squinted against the brightness of the Hospital Wing.

Her body was stiff and aching, her head pounding. Her eyes felt as though they hadn't been opened for years; she felt as though she hadn't moved for years.

Nadia eventually peeled her eyes open and was welcomed by the warm smile of Draco Malfoy. But he didn't look too good. His eyes were red and puffy and black bags lived beneath them.

She mustered the best smile she could and weakly squeezed his hand that enveloped her's. "Hey, sweetheart." Draco cooed, brushing the hair out of her face.

"Hey." Nadia squeaked back. Her throat was scratchy and her mouth dry.

Draco noticed this and handed her a glass of water, holding up her head so she could take a sip.

"How long have I been out?" She questioned, plopping her heavy head back onto the pillow.

Draco frowned. "Three days."

Nadia found it hard to process this information. She tried to remember what happened but her memories were blurred.

"Please tell me you slept during those three days."

"I can't because that would be lying and we promised to never lie to eachother again." He smiled sadly.

"Oh Draco." Nadia sighed and raised a hand to run it through his hair. It hurt but she didn't care. His hair was like silk to her cramped fingers.

"What happened?" She questioned.

"What do you remember?" Draco replied.

Nadia thought for a minute, doing her best to remember something. "It was dark. We were...in a bathroom? You were...crying and...I helped you. Then...Harry came and you were fighting...and he used a spell. A bad spell." Nadia stuttered, forcing her mind to find the events of three days ago. "It almost killed me."

"Snape saved you. He healed you the best he could, but..." Draco trailed off, staring at the floor.

"But what?" Nadia asked concerned.

Draco sighed and stood up. He reached for her pyjamas and pulled up her top to expose her midriff. Nadia was confused at first, unsure of what he was doing but then she saw them.

Long, pink scars littered her body. She let out a gasp at the sight. "H-he did this." She whispered, desperately trying to push herself up to get a better look.

Draco seemed alarmed and gently pushed her back down, recovering her scarred body. "You need to rest."

"I've been resting for three days." Nadia snapped, harsher than she meant. Draco stepped back slightly. Nadia instantly frowned. "Draco, I'm sorry."

Draco shook his head and caressed her cheek. Nadia leant into his touch. "It's okay. I get that you're angry. Believe me, so am I. Potter's bloody lucky he isn't dead."

"Oh, good! You're up!" Came the strict but kind voice of Madam Pomfrey. "Mr Malfoy, you're still here? Did you even leave?"

Draco sheepishly shrugged at the nurse. Nadia grinned, squeezing his hand.

Madam Pomfrey tutted but Nadia swore she saw the corners of her mouth twitch. "Oh, well." She sighed. "How are you feeling, dear?"

"Sore and I have a headache. But I'm okay." Nadia answered with a small smile.

"Okay, well let me just give you something to help with the pain but maybe you should stay one more night. Just to be sure." Madam Pomfrey concluded.
