The doorbell rang and Connor got up, walking to the door. "Hey, thank you." He said and handed the pizza delivery guy a twenty dollar bill. "Keep the change." He said and the delivery guy gave him a smile before walking off the front porch.
Connor walked back to the couch with the box of pizza. "I'm gonna get plates." I said and got up, but he grabbed my wrist. "Stay where you are."
"What?" I said and he sighed. "So, you're on your period and I know for a fact that you have a lot of cramps, so sit down." He said and I cocked an eyebrow. "How do you even know?"
He bit his lip. "I mean, I know a girl when she is and your brother may have dropped that you are really annoying when you're on you period."
"So you're telling me I'm annoying?" I asked, crossing my arms and he grinned. "No, but let me just get the plates already."
I sat back down and he walked to the kitchen. "Dipshit." I muttered.
My phone rang in my pocket, I looked at the caller. "Hey, Lucas."
"Babe, did you get home?" He asked and I licked my lips. "Yeah, I'm at Connor's actually."
"Oh, yeah, okay." He said and we stayed silent for a while, but Hamilton came back with the plates. "Lucas, I should go."
"Yeah, see you tomorrow?" He asked. "Yeah, you can come to my place if you want?" I said as Connor sat back down, frowning. "Sure, bye." He said and ended the call.
I put my phone on the coffee table. Connor took a piece of pizza. "So, when did you and Jane start dating?"
"Tuesday." He said and I nodded. It was Friday today, which meant it was already four days. "What happened that you changed your mind?"
"You." He said and I gave him a confused look. "Huh?"
I grabbed a piece of pizza and took a bite. "Well, you said that I needed a girlfriend." He said and I swallowed, giving him an amused look.
He rolled his eyes and leaned back in the couch. "You are annoying when you are on your period."
I smacked his chest and he stopped me by grabbing my arms and pulling me closer.
His eyes went to my lips for a moment, enough for me to notice. I quickly pushed myself away from him. He bit his lip and looked at the empty glasses on the table. "Want some more lemonade?"
I nodded and he took the bottle, pouring me more lemonade. "How are you and Lucas? You slept over, so did something happen?"
I shook my head. "No, and it's not going to if you're talking about having sex." I said and he put down the bottle, looking back at me. "So, you're never gonna have sex with your boyfriend?"
I sighed. "Yes, I am. Con, for me sex isn't just a part of my life. I mean, no offence, but you have a lot of sex." I said and he bit the inside of his cheek. "Right, I do, I know. It's just, I'm really... scared to bond with someone."
I frowned. "Why do you bond with me, then?" I asked, looking across the room, avoiding his gaze that was burning on me now. "Because, Ali, I explained this already. You don't show me that you think I'm attractive, which of course I am." He grinned and I rolled my eyes, now looking at him. "And, of course you're fun."
"You think I'm fun?" I laughed and he licked his lips. "Yeah, an annoying fun." He smiled and I sighed. "You can be fun sometimes, too." I said and he shook his head, chuckling. "You haven't seen the fun part of me."
He looked at me, smirking and I rolled my eyes. "No, ew."
"We could watch a movie?" He proposed and I shook my head. "Nah, we should just talk. Movies are no fun."
"Weren't you supposed to have a movie night with your boyfriend?" He asked and I shrugged. "Yeah, but the I had forgotten about the game and I promised Ben to go."
His phone vibrated and he looked at it. "It's Jane." He said and I looked at him, he didn't move to take his phone. "Aren't you gonna pick up?"
He shrugged. "She probably just wants to come over and fuck, so no. Plus, you're here, so why should I pick up?"
"You're turning down sex for me, I feel respected." I said and he rolled his eyes. "Shut up."
"What? I mean, she's your girlfriend, isn't she like the only one you can have sex with at this point?" I asked and he licked his lips. "Yeah, she is I guess. But that's the thing, I can always have sex if I want to." He said, grabbing another piece of pizza. "Right, but she's the only one you had sex with multiple times?" I asked and he frowned. "I think so, I mean, I don't know actually. I never remember them, to be honest. In the beginning I did, but now I don't."
I rolled my eyes and puffed. "You're an asshole, remember Katie?"
He put his tong on his palate. "Nope. Who's that?"
"This girl I met at while shopping." I said and he frowned. "She knew me?"
"Dude, who doesn't at this point." I stated and he shrugged. "I mean, a lot of people know I guess, I just don't know them."
I cracked my knuckles. "Yeah, I get it. But like your dad owns a lot of restaurants all over the world, so I guess the name Hamilton rings a bell by everyone." I said and he shrugged again. "I don't care."
I hummed in response. "I saw you talking to Dustin at school, what did he want?" Connor said in a serious tone. "He just asked of I wanted to come with him and that I could stay over at Lucas', I kindly rejected." I explained and he quirked an eyebrow. "Nothing else?"
I shook my head. "No, he needed to go somewhere or something. I don't know." He grabbed his glass of Lemonade and took a swing. "Probably drugs dealing."
I shrugged. "I've heard, my dad and Lucas' dad used to be best buddies until his dad got into the drugs business." I said and he cleared his throat. "You know, my mum and your mum used to be friends too. Until my mum got married and moved back to England with my dad."
"Really? I didn't know that." I said. He looked at his watch and frowned. "It's twelve already."
"Yeah, could you drop me off at home?" I asked and he shook his head. "Nope."
My lips parted and a grin came onto his face. "You're staying here."
I sighed. "Okay, sure."
"I'll sleep on the couch." He said and I rolled my eyes. "Last time you couldn't sleep on that thing, so why bother?"
He nodded and we walked upstairs.
I took off my shirt and he cocked an eyebrow. "What're you doing?"
"Taking off my shirt?" I said and he nodded. "I- I can see that." I gave him a weird stare, because he was scanning my body and he coughed as if he noticed that I had caught him. He looked back at my eyes. We stayed silent for a moment, me standing there in my pants and bra and him having a confused look in his face.
After a few moments I said something again. "Could I lend your shirt?" He didn't seem to hear me and I frowned. "Con?"
He shook his head in attempt to get put of his trance. "Sorry, yeah you can." Now, he took off his shirt and handed it to me, his sent hitting my nose. "I just realised, I still have your football sweater. I'll give it back Monday."
He shrugged. "Don't bother, you can keep it." He gave me a soft smile and I returned it.
Is it me, or am I smiling more?
