"Hey, dumbos, stop making out!" Ben's shouts emerged trough the streets. Connor slowly let go of me, pecking my lips a few times before actually letting me go. "Such an ass." I muttered and turned to look at my brother. He strolled up to us, rolling his eyes. "Guys, how long does it take you to get to us?" He asked and turned to Connor. "And, you, Hamilton, you can't just make out with my little sister in public." He said, wiggling his finger at Connor's chest.
Connor softly sighed, running a hand trough his hair. "Fuck you." Benjamin ignored his best friend and put an arm around my shoulder. "You know who I saw? Jonah Carrera, how that boy has grown." He said and I looked at him. "You saw him, too? He's changed, definitely got into an ice hokey team." I said and I heard Connor huff behind us. I looked over my shoulder. "Don't worry, ass, he's nothing compared to..." I drifted off as I swallowed the next words, not wanting to boost his ego.
Benjamin cocked an eyebrow and a smile was tugging on Connor's lips. "Me? My abs? My ass? My biceps? My..." I put my hand over his mouth. "Your ego." I said and Connor's tongue met my hand. I shrieked and he just laughed. "You truly are disgusting."
He hummed in response and walked up to his parents, where again, his height was not unnoticeable.
My brother still had a questioning look on his face. "If I may ask you," He said and I looked at him. "Why did you pack condoms?" He asked and I scoffed. "Benjamin Nate Louis Daniels, are you really that stupid?"
His eyes widened and he opened his mouth to say something, but there came out no sound. I shrugged off his arm and walked up to the Hamiltons too. "How did you enjoy London?" Caitlin asked and I gave her a polite smile. "It's beautiful." I said and Connor grinned at me as he talked with his sister. Just like you. He mouthed and I felt my face get hot, looking down at the ground that suddenly got more interesting than all my other surroundings.
I heard my brother gasp. "You have been having- Motherfucker." He said and walked to Connor. "You are not sleeping in the same bed as my sister, mister. You guys have to at least be five inches apart. Don't you dare to even think about doing it again." Connor bit his lip, looking at me, smiling as an idiot. "She came onto me, bud."
My brother stuttered, trying to find his words. His hand was still pointing at Connor, hanging sloppily now. I slowly shook my head, feeling all the eyes on me by Connor's comment. I cleared my throat and placed my hand on Ben's arm. "Ben, shut up."
He looked at me. "What? You fu-"
Connor sighed, cutting him off. "We should get going."
Samuel started following his son and so did Caitlin. "I can't believe him." Benjamin muttered before taking off, too. Leaving me with Hayden. I looked at her and she gave me a knowing smile. "So?"
"Benjamin just really feels like he needs to protect me." I said, sighing. "You know how brother's are." She said as we started walking. "Connor literally sometime busts into my room when Ricardo is over and I'm scared one day he'll actually see us doing something."
I shook my head. "He literally was scared to touch me at some point." She said, her gaze drifting to the ground. "Are you guys okay?" I asked and she shrugged. "I feel like we're not really meant for each other, plus, he never ever makes time for me. It's always 'football this, football that'. It's frustrating." She said, looking at me. "Do you feel like he's making up excuses to not see you?" I asked and she bit her lip as she thought. "Do you think so?"
"I mean, I don't think so. Maybe he wants to avoid taking this to the next level?" I asked and she frowned. "Like propose?" I chuckled, shaking my head. "You're sixteen, of course not. Maybe he wants to promise himself to you?"
A smile spread across her face. "Call him, I'll tell the others that you had to make an important call." I said and she gave me thankful look. I caught up with the others and Benjamin was in deep discussion with Connor.
"You are telling me that she wanted to?" Benjamin asked and I rolled my eyes. "Ben, I let her decide, her body, her choice." Connor said. I softly smiled and Caitlin looked at me. "I'll have to warn you before we go to Newcastle. Sammy's dad can be a little... brutal sometimes. The first time I met him he didn't talk to me for hours and observed the way that I talked to Samuel. Don't be scared of him, I learned. Be careful of his dog, Zelda, she's pretty big and doesn't know how to react to new people. Oh, Rudolf the cat, he's a little grumpy, but loves attention." She said and Connor turned his head. "Mum, you are scaring her. Grandpa isn't that bad, just drop that you have a gay best friend and he'll love you."
Caitlin laughed, shaking her head. "I'm not scaring her, just warning her. Grandpa can get a weird opinion on people if he doesn't like them." I licked my lips. "It's okay, Con." I said and his gaze softened as it landed on me. "Okay, you just have to be careful not to drop anything about my Grandma, he'll hate you." I nodded, showing him that I understood. He turned back to my brother, starting the discussion again.
"You know, Allison, Con seems happier. It's you, you realise that, right?" Caitlin asked and I looked at her. "I'm not sure about that."
"I'm certain, I've never seen him happier than the past five months. I know about his, well, actions before he met you. Of course, he still did them, but it reduced a lot. I would ask you to promise to get married to him, but you're only sixteen, it'd be too much." She said, not noticing how my cheeks turned red. "That means a lot coming from you." I said and she waved it off. "You're the best Connor could ask for." She said, gently grabbing my arm and stopping me from walking. "Thank you." She said, pulling me into a hug. "No, thank you." I said and returned the embrace.
"Now, now, go get him honey." She said and I gave her a nod, smiling. I turned to catch up with Connor and Benjamin. "Ah, I need your opinion. Your stupid boyfriend thinks I should ask Emma out to a real date and take her to drive-in movie." He said and ran his hand trough his hair. "I feel like that would be a good idea, but not for your first date. Maybe you should take her to our secret spot at the lake and just play songs on your guitar?" I proposed and he pursed his lips, but Connor's mouth fell open. "You play the damn guitar?"
Benjamin ignored him and looked back at me. "Yeah, that's a good idea. She has an amazing voice, too. Alli, you're a genius." He said, grinning as he put his arm around me. "Dude, since when do you play guitar?"
"Since I was five, it's a side hobby." Ben explained, still grinning wide. "We could write songs together." Benjamin yelped out of excitement. "Yeah, you should and then you can perform them in front of mom and aunt Zara, like we used to do with Ryan, Lily and Phoebe" I said and Connor frowned. "Glad I'm not the only one that did that."
We got to the car and got in. I was sitting next to Connor with Hayden while Ethan sat in the back with our luggage. "This is unfair." He whined and Connor looked at him. "You're only five ten, I'm six three." He said and Ben pointed at me. "She's five six."
I know, stop calling me small.
