I woke up, not really wanting to, but it's Saturday so it's okay.

I stayed in my bed for a while and then finally got up as I noticed I had been laying in my bed for way too long.

I walked downstairs and grabbed myself some oatmeal and a cup of coffee.

I finished it and just then my brother walked into the kitchen. "Morning." He said and I looked at him. "Morning."

"So, what happened with Hamilton?" He asked, being a little too straightforward as always. "We just got into this tense conversation a few days ago in his car. He shouted at me and slammed his window, and then he comes to apologise because we're going on a double date..." I tried to explain. "Shit! The double date." I groaned

"So, what did you say?" He asked. "Well, yesterday I asked him to leave and stop being a dick."

"Alli, come on. I mean, yeah he sure as hell is a dick, but please don't make this fight last any longer. He really is irritated, he doesn't talk to anyone anymore." Ben sighed and I shrugged. "He has Jane to talk to, it's his own choice not to."

"Jane said that they haven't, you know, in six days. And you know Connor, that's a lot of days." Benjamin said. "Well, maybe it's good for him not to put his dick anywhere he wants to put it. I'm fucking tired of him trying to get in my pants, trying to ruin my relationship and then shouting at me he's in love." I said, my voice getting a little louder. "If he can't act like a decent person in my presence, he can suck his own dick."

I walked out of the kitchen.

Why did he always have to be so curious? It was okay sometimes, but is it really my problem that Connor acts different because we are fighting? I mean, what the actual fuck. He got angry at me first and okay, I admit, I avoided him as long as I could, but him apologising because we're going on a double date?

Doesn't work with me asshole.

A week had passed....

There was a honk, so I got up from the couch and walked outside, seeing Lucas' car. He took off his sunglasses and small smile. "You look good." He said. I got in the car and gave him a soft kiss. "Thanks."

He drove away and put on the radio. "How was dinner last week? we never talked about it." He asked. "Well, Dean seems like a nice guy for my mom and his son is a pretty cool dude too, fourteen, but he understands life. Or at least, some of it."  I said and he chuckled. "Well, yeah."

Was I gonna tell him about Connor showing up?

No fucking way.

"How was dinner with your dad back from his bussinesstrip?" I asked and he sighed. "Dustin and my stepmom got in a fight, actually."

"Oh, well I'm sorry."

"Don't be, they fight all the time, but it's always the same. Dustin lives alone, but is over all the time because he actually isn't mature enough to do all the responsibilities that come with it." Lucas said and I licked my lips. "Yeah, I figured."

He parked his car on the parking lot at the mall. We got out of his car and he took my hand in his. "Jane said we needed to meet them at the Pull and Bear. Do you know where that is?"

"I guess so, Eth took me there a few times to get new clothes. Because he says my clothing is too boring." I said and he shook his head. "No, I like it. I'm happy you don't wear those short skirts or dresses. I'm sorry to say this, but it's slutty."

I laughed. "What's funny?" He asked. "The way you said slutty and apparently people can't wear what they want." I said and he rolled his eyes. "Alli-."

"Just, let's get this over with." I said and he nodded. "Yeah, let's. I just-"

"There it is." I said, not wanting him to finish that sentence, because it could've ended a lot of ways.

"I see Jane, not Connor though." He said and I shrugged. "Fuck him." I muttered and Lucas grinned. "Exactly."

We walked up to Jane. "Hey." Lucas said, kissing her on the cheek. I raised my eyebrows, this is kind of weird. "Hey." She said. "Alli." She grinned, pulling me into a hug. "Con is getting us some lemonade."

I nodded. "Sure, what shops did you wanna see?" I asked and her eyes lit up. "Thought you'd never ask."

We've only been here for six seconds, what the hell did you think?

After a few shops we decided to sit down. "Jane, I don't get that you can buy this much." Lucas said, scanning her bags. "Well, I don't shop a lot, but when I do. I do." She said, and turned back to Connor. "Babe, you've been quiet."

He shrugged, meeting my gaze for a brief moment. She tried to give him kiss, but he jerked his head away. "Stop it." He mumbled.

Lucas put his arm around my shoulder, clearly trying to avoid the awkwardness. "So what's next?"

"What time is it?" Jane asked and Lucas pulled out his phone. "Five."

"Oh, we should get an outfit for the party tonight." She said, already getting up. "What party?" I asked and she smiled. "Well, the party and Lucas' house."

I looked at Lucas. "Wait, what? You didn't tell."

"I forgot." He said and I frowned. "Uhm, okay."

"Let's go, I know a shop you'll certainly find something that you'll like, I know you're not the skirt person, so you don't have to." Jane said. "Bless you." I said and she dragged us all along to this shop I didn't know the name of. I looked around. "You're right, more my scene."

I picked out a denim high waist ripped jeans and a cute strapless top to wear with a denim jacket I had at home. "I like this, you should wear it."

I nodded and paid for the clothes. "Let's go, we already passed an hour in that shop." Lucas said. We all walked to the parking lot.

Hamilton hadn't really said anything the whole date long. He clearly avoided any conversation or interaction with anyone. He didn't even talk to Jane and never held her hand. She noticed that there was something going on. She didn't quiet figure out what exactly, but she would eventually.

I turned to Lucas. "So, did you enjoy it?"

"It's not quiet over yet." He said and I looked at him. "No, we have a whole night ahead of us, where we can have a lot of fun."

He grinned. "Oh really, what kind of fun?" I planted my lips on his. "This kinda fun."

"I can't wait.' He said, grinning. "You guys are so cute." She chirped and I let go off Lucas. "Thanks for this day actually, I really think we had the wrong impression of each other." I said and she nodded. "Yeah, sorry about the iced coffee. Con told me you're a good person and I believe him."

"Jane, when are you gonna learn not to call me Con? What the fuck, it's not that hard." Connor snapped and Jane rolled her eyes. "Connor, you're acting like a dick all day and now you're just getting angry at me for nothing."

He walked to his car and slammed his door shut. "Sorry about him, he doesn't seem to handle some things really good lately. I should probably talk to him. I'll see you there." She said and turned to the car. Lucas and I got in Lucas' car too.

Damn, who's the feisty one now?

I literally am happy at this point, my day had a bad start, but it actually ended really nice. My friends are really important to me and I realised that I cannot live without them.

Guys, I love them.
