"Okay, we're gonna cook." He said and I frowned. "You cook."
"Yeah, I do." He said and I licked my lips. "So that's why you wanted to hang out? You wanted to cook with me, sweet." I mocked and he rolled his eyes. We walked to the kitchen. "What are we cooking?" I asked. "Spaghetti carbonara." He said, geting the pasta and bacon.
"You know that's my favourite food ever, eh?" I asked and he nodded. "Yeah, Ben told me, he was like if you ever wanna cook her something, make spaghetti carbonara, so I thought it would be fun to cook it together." He said, turning to me. "You're not as stupid as I thought." I smiled and he scanned me. "You know, you're smile is cute. I'm glad you're smiling more."
I froze, I really did smile more. I spun around, opening a cabinet to get a pan to bake the bacon in.
"Hey, uhm, are you and Lucas okay again?" He asked and I leaned against the counter. "We're fine." I said and he gulped. "He didn't try anything, again?"
"Con, no. Why?" I asked and he bit his lip. "Just, you know, checking in."
I shook my head. "Sure."
I put on the stove and got the butter to melt in the pan. "I'll cut the mushrooms." He said and I took the bacon, putting it in pan.
I heard him cuss and looked at him. "What?" I asked and blew out air, showing his finger. "Idiot." I laughed and put off the stove, taking his hand right after. "I'm gonna get bandage for that." He said and I looked at him.
"Where is it?" I asked and he pointed at a drawer. I let go of his hand and walked to the drawer, getting put bandage and disinfectant.
I motioned him to sit down, I took another chair and sat I front of him. I took his hand once again and cleaned the wound before putting the bandage around his finger. He looked at me, frowning. "You have done this before, haven't you?"
"My dad used to cut himself a lot while cooking, so did I. We always cooked together." I said and he put his other hand on my knee. "I'm sorry."
I let go off his hand and stood up. "Please don't say that." I said. He got up, putting the chair back in his original position. "I-"
"Can we not?" I asked, my voice cracking. He didn't say anything else and went back to cutting the mushrooms.
After forty five minutes we were done and made the table. "Why are there four plates?" I asked and he looked at me. "Oh, my parents."
"What? No, this going to be awkward. I mean, I'm literally just wearing your hoodie, what will they think of me when they see me like this?" I yelped and he chuckled. "Nothing, maybe one of my hook ups?"
I smacked his chest and he grabbed my arm, pulling me into his shoulder. "Connor." I said and he just kept on laughing. "Please, put me do-"
Just then the front door unlocked. Connor quickly dropped me, holding my waist to make sure I wasn't gonna fall. "Con, we're home!"
They walked into the kitchen. Catelin gave me a small smile. "Nice to see you, Alli."
"Same thing." I said and she looked at Connor's hands on my waist. I quickly stepped away from him and he cleared his throat. "So, we made dinner."
"Did you cut your finger again?" Mister Hamilton asked and noticed me. "And you are?"
"This is Alli, Dad. Alli, my Dad." He said and I gave his dad a polite smile. "Nice meeting you, Mister Hamilton."
"Likewise, Alli." He said and looked at Connor. "Your girlfriend?"
I tried to hold back my laughter and Connor shook his head, not trying to smile. "Soon, maybe."
I stopped laughing and looked at him. "Excuse you?"
"I like her." Mister Hamilton said. "Me too." Connor grinned and I rolled my eyes. "Let's eat, shall we?" Caitlin said and we all took place at the table. "So, how do you know each other?" Mister Hamilton. "Trough my brother." I said and Connor took a bite of his spaghetti.
"That's nice, good work making the food." Mister Hamilton said and I gave him a small smile. "So what about your parents?" He asked and Connor sighed. "Dad, don't."
"No it's fine." I said and Connor looked at me. "What? No, it's not." He said and I ignored him. "So, I live with my mom and my dad died five years ago because of cancer." I said and Mister Hamilton wiped his mouth clean with a napkin. "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that."
"Actually, did you know that her mum is Alice Daniels?" Catelin asked her husband. "Oh, I didn't. Weren't you best friends?" Mister Hamilton asked and Catelin nodded. "Yeah, until I married you, we kinda lost connection."
"Hey, Alli, why don't you ask your mum to come over for a drink sometime?" Mister Hamilton said and I looked up from my plate. "Uhm, yeah, I'll ask her."
"Are you staying over?" Catelin asked and I slowly shook my head. "What? I thought you were?" Connor said and I looked at him. "I never said that. By the way, I still have work to do." I said and he shrugged. "We'll do it together, and didn't you need help with chemistry?" He asked, grinning. I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, but I'll ask Ben."
"You can't." Connor said and I raised my eyebrows. "Sorry?"
He nodded and sighed. "He's at Riley's tonight, didn't he tell you?"
"Well, then I'll ask Lucas."
"Lucas Sanchez?" Catelin asked and I looked at her, nodding. "Yeah."
"Her boyfriend." Connor scoffed. "Son, you look jealous." Mister Hamilton laughed and Connor narrowed his eyes. "No, I just don't like him."
"So, Con, you're dropping me off, right?" I asked and he bit the inside of his cheek. "Tomorrow morning, at school, yeah."
I sighed. "No, like after dinner."
"No, what the fuck."
"Language." Mister Hamilton said and Connor ignored him. "Angel, I'm dropping you off tomorrow at school."
"Okay, pick me up at my house in the morning then." I said and he licked his lips. "Okay, fine."
I grinned, this boy was always gonna listen.

He opened the front door and we walked outside. "We'll see you around, right Alli?" Mister Hamilton asked and I looked at him. "Yeah, it was nice meeting you." I smiled and he grinned. "Connor, get her home safe cause I like her, okay?"
"Yes sir." He muttered and unlocked his car. I got in the passenger seat and he started the engine. "We did a pretty good job." He said and I looked at him. "Yeah, it was nice. Your parents are nice people, your dad is funny." I said and he frowned. "For real? No fucking way. Luckily he likes you, he never liked Jane or one of the other girls that he met."
"I get it, they all want that dick of yours." I said and he laughed. "Right, cause that's the only things that matters?"
"No, that's not what I meant, at least it isn't what I think. A lot of girls do, not my fault."
"Yeah, right." He said and I looked at him. "What? Did I say something wrong?" I asked. "Alli, the only thing you have to say about me is that I'm a player while I'm in fucking love with someone." He yelled, punching the window. "Sorry." I whispered and swallowed. "Shit, I'm sorry."
"It's okay, ju- just drop me off please." I said, my hands fiddling. "I-" He started, but I shook my head. "Please."
He parked his car on my driveway and I immediately got out. "Alli, I'm sorry for lashing out."
I quickly unlocked my front door and he got out of his car, I shut the door in front of his face. I walked upstairs, tears coming up in my eyes and I wiped them away with the sleeve of his hoodie.
I was in shock.
