I was laying on the couch in the big living room of Eric's house. Rudolf was laying on my lap and I scratched him behind his ears. He purred and sleepily looked at me. "He's so cute." I said, lifting my head to look at Connor. "Mhm, he is, huh?"

"Once we..." I trailed off as Caitlin walked into the room. "Children, we're watching a movie upstairs, in the attic."

"What movie?" I asked. "The Conjuring, I know, not really christmas-y, but hey." She said and Connor's eyes widened. "Horror?"

I grinned. "Oh, is Conny a little scared?" I teased and he glared at me, nodding. "Yeah, I am, you know I hate horror."

"I'll be there to protect you." I said and he scrunched up his nose. "That doesn't make me feel any better." I dropped my grin as he said that and shook my head. I placed Rudolf on the couch as softly as I could. "Come on, Con, it's been a while since we saw Eric, and you know he loves horror movies." Caitlin said and Connor shook his head, flipping his curls. "No."

"Well, I'm going, so have fun." I said and walked passed Caitlin. "Alli, do you know the way?" Caitlin asked and I shook my head, her chuckling in response. I followed her until we met the Hamilton family in the attic. "Isn't Connor coming?" Eric asked and Caitlin sighed, shaking her head. "Nope, he doesn't like horror movies."

Suddenly my phone rang. "Excuse me." I said and walked outside, into the hallway. It was an unknown number, I didn't recognize it, but I still decided to pick up. "With Allison." I said into the line.

"Hi Alli, it's Jonah." Jonah said and I grinned. "Hey, how are you?"

"I'm good, you?"

"I'm okay, about to watch The Conjuring."

"Bad choice." He said, pausing for a few seconds. "That's not why I called you though, I wanted to ask if you would wanna hang out in two days, you can bring Connor along if you want to, even the rest." He said.

"Yeah, sounds good. Just send me the information and I'll ask everyone." I said and he sighed. "I have to go, my mom is calling me."

"I'll see you." I said before hanging up. I turned around yelped as Connor suddenly stood in the doorway. "What the fuck." I gasped and he frowned. "Dude, I'm not that ugly."

"You cannot just dude your girlfriend." I said and he grinned. "Why can't I, huh? What holy book of relationships says that I can't call my girlfriend dude?" He asked and I rolled my eyes. "I said it, it's weird. You sound like you're treating me like my brother."

"Oh, never mind, I would not have sex in the shower with Ben."

"You what?" Ben shrieked, dropping his jaw. I bit my bottom lip as I looked at Connor who was trying not to laugh. "You guys are unbelievable, you- you had- what?" Ben stuttered and I sighed. "Okay, this is awkward, I'm gonna head back into the other room, care to join charming?" I asked and Connor slowly nodded, giving Benjamin a lingering look before following me.

"No, you guys don't just get to walk away from me after what I just heard. Connor, you promised me not to do this kinda stuff with my younger sister and Allison, you were so innocent just a few weeks ago. What the heck happened?" Ben exclaimed. "Nothing, just, nothing. Leave me be."

"So you did have sex in the shower?" He asked, a little to loud for everyone to hear. I groaned and Connor scrunched up his nose. "Yeah, yeah, we did. Safe and all before you ask. Just stop trying to get interfered in everything she does. Plus, no one is forcing her to do anything."

"But-"

I put my hand up to shut him up. "Ben, I get it, I'm your little sister, but I'm also sixteen which means I'm legally old enough to have sex. If you do not like the thought of your best friend touching me the way no one else on this world can, don't think about it. Just, please, leave us alone for a second and stop trying to protect me from things I can decide by myself. I'm not the three years old kid anymore who used to ask you what one plus one is." I said and Ben closed his mouth, keeping himself from saying something. Sam cleared his throat and Ben caught his eye. "I'm sorry, I just, never mind."

I puffed out air and turned around, meeting everyone's gaze. "So, did the movie start yet?

***

Connor's head was resting on my chest, frequently switching his gaze as he found the movie too fucked up. My hand was running trough his curls whilst my other was laying around his torso. At the end of the couch were laying our feet, our legs crossed with each other. He removed his gaze from the screen and scrunched up his nose as Loraine ran trough the basement, trying to avoid the spirit.

I chuckled as I felt his heart beating fast because of the adrenaline. "It's not that scary." I said and his eyes widened. "She just watched a mum kill her son because she was possessed by the spirit of a witch."

I shrugged. He scoffed laying his head back down and I scratched his back, causing him to close his eyes in pleasure. "That feels good." He whispered and I kissed his head. His hands found their way around my back and he pulled himself closer to me. I felt his muscles relax as his body snuggled into me. I grinned, looking at the screen.

The movie finished and everyone went downstairs to make dinner, leaving me and Connor alone. I looked at him.

He fell asleep on my chest, his mouth hung open a bit and his curls were hanging in front of his forehead. His hands were around me, one under my back and one around my waist.

I played with his hair and he muttered something, turning his head to the other side. "I love you." He said, loud enough for me to hear.

Was he talking to me?

"Con?" I asked and he stretched his legs, sighing.

So he was sleeping, maybe it wasn't meant for me.

I rubbed his back and intertwined my other hand with the one at my waist.

"Alli?" He mumbled and I bit my lip. "Yeah?"

He looked at me, his gaze fixating on me. "I-"

"I heard you." I said and he shook his head. "I mean it," He said and his brows furrowed. "You don't have to say it back, I mean hell, we've only been dating for a month or so. But I always knew, since the first day your brother told me about you, I was going to end up with you. Now or in ten years. I know, I'm only seventeen and you're sixteen, but I just see us in the future."

I licked my lips. "Look," He said, pushing himself up to his elbows. "Next year I'm studying in London. If we are still together then, which I hope will be the case, I promise I won't give up on you. You're special, and I feel like I don't show you enough how much I care for you. I wonder how you even put up with me. I literally am an asshole all the time."

I chuckled, grabbing his hand. "Sometimes."

"I love you, Allison."
