Mine Forever

Chapter 1

I was the typical lightskin girl. Didn't really care about anything. Always was annoyed by everything. Everything I did described a lightskin. Short, pretty hair, nice body, I was popular. I was popular because of what I do. Being cheer captain isn't an easy job, but I've cheered since 1st grade. I wasn't friends with everyone. I only had 3 bestfriends. Kaitlin, Jessica, and Nia. I've been bestfriends with Kaitlin and Jessica since preschool. Me and Nia have been bestfriends since freshman year.

Today was the first day of senior year. Last first day of high school. I had got another new car because my lat one was messing up. I drove my new white Dodge Dart to school. I was in love with the car. It made me so happy to finally have the car I really wanted.

I arrived at school and went to the cafeteria. People looked at me as I walked down the middle. I sat in the usual spot with my bestfriends. We've been sitting in the same spot for breakfast and lunch for the past 4 years. Kaitlin and Jessica were waiting for me and they were talking.

"Hey Myra" Kaitlin said. "Hey" I said looking off some. "So are y'all ready for the last first day?" Jessica said excitedly. "Yeah I guess" I said.

We say and talked for another 30 minutes. Since I had finished most of my classes I needed to take I didn't have to worry about classes. I went to the study hall room and got on my phone. There were a lot of people in there but I sat at a table by myself. People would come and sit with me and try to talk to me and I ignored them.

"Hey Alex" a girl got up and walked towards the boy. They kissed for a long time and then when they finally stopped people started crowding around him and he talked to them. I couldn't lie he was kinda cute. I had no idea on who he was. I barely payed attention to anybody at school. I could tell he was popular.

I got up and walked out. I was so tired of all the noise in there. "Hey get back to class" I turned around and saw the principal. "Yeah okay" I continued to walk around. I wanted to go home so bad. I decided to go back to the study hall room. When I came in I saw Nia and immediately went to sit down with her.

"Hey haven't seen you all summer" I said. "Yeah I've been with Omar all summer". "Again so did anything new happen." I looked at her stomach it looked a little different from last year. "Well I don't want to brag, but yes I'm pregnant. " She said really quiet. I couldn't believe one of my bestfriends was pregnant and didn't tell me.

We sat in there bored for another hour. I didn't know what to do about my singleness but I had to change that. I was so lonely even though.

"Can all seniors report to the gym immediately?" the secretary said over the intercom. All the seniors were walking down the hall very loudly. Making all the noise they possibly could. I found Kaitlin and Jessica and sat with them.

"Hello class of 2014. Today we are all here to talk about this last exciting year. All of you here have been doing outstanding these last few years. More importantly we have to talk about all the things seniors do."she continued to talk for 30 minutes about late arrival or early dismissal, senior trips, homecoming, and prom. This year maybe I wouldn't win. It was hard telling people not to vote for me. I guess I did actually want to win this year.

"So first let's get our football team down here and don't forget about their best support system, the cheerleaders. we want all of you all to come down here to be recognized." I saw boys and girls running down the bleachers. I finally stood up and walked down to the floor and stood by one cheerleader. We all raised our hands up and let them down. When it was time to leave I couldn't find Kaitlin or Jessica so I decided to go to class.

"Bam" I accidentally bumped into a tall boy. He looked okay from the back until he turned around and I saw his dreamy face. "My bad" he said. "No sorry" I said. I was a little nervous to talk to him. I walked faster to get out the way. I turned around to see him still looking at me as I kept walking. I didn't want to turn around and go back but I did.
