Chapter 16

I had fallen asleep trying to call Alex. I woke up and remembered what happened. I called again and he didn't answer. I prayed that he was okay. I wouldn't live with my self if anything happened to him last night.

I went to take a quick shower. I walked to the closet and saw a bag. I put my clothes on and looked in the bag. Alex had bought me the pink uggs I had been asking for. I cried a little and put them on. I saw a watch in the bag. It was Michael Kors. I put it on and went to do my hair. I pulled it up into a high bun. I brushed my teeth and walked back into the room. It felt so different not having to wake up and see Alex smile. I didn't tear up but I wanted to. I grabbed my stuff and walked downstairs. I went into the refrigerator and got a water. Every morning Alex made me a smoothie.

We didn't have time yesterday. I looked around at how empty the house was. I went to the garage and got into my old car. I pulled out into the street and drove to Kaitlin's house

I pulled up at the donut shop and ordered. I got my stuff and kept driving to Kaitlin's house . I'm parked in the drive way and saw Jessica's car. I walked inside and went to the kitchen . I sat down with Kaitlin and Jessica.

"Damn it" I said to myself. I forgot to check my face before I came in. I knew they would tell I had been crying.

"Hey" they said making their voices drop.

"What happened?" Kaitlin asked

"Nothing." I opened the box of donuts and we each got one.

I cried a little but I wiped the tears away.

"Myra what's wrong?" Kaitlin said.

"I don't know where Alex is. I'm worried about him. We had a fight and he left."

"Oh. Um I think you should talk to him."

"No he should be apologizing to me." I told them what happened. They agreed about Alex apologizing to me, but that would take to long.

I went and got in my car. I called Alex again so we could talk. He didn't answer. I didn't know what to do. I cried in my car. I put my hands on my face and cried. I heard a knock on the window. I moved my hands to see Sheldon.

"My bad am I in your way." I said.

"Nah they told me what happened. I came to talk to you." It was weird Sheldon never talked me unless I made him.

"Okay." I wiped my tears off a little.

"Well first off I know your upset but waiting for him may not happen. If you love him go get him back. Doesn't matter how long it takes but yall are good people. Your like my little sister do I have to take care of you too. I don't want to see you like this. Go home and keep calling him." He said. I felt a little better.

I drove home and saw Alex's car in the driveway. I ran inside and saw him on the couch watching tv. I was ready to move past this.

"Alex." I said. He ignored me and continued to watch football. "Alex." He looked at me but didn't say anything. I cried a little but he wasn't having it. I put my stuff down. He turned the game up louder, so he could ignore me. I went in the kitchen and slammed stuff around.

"Can you chill?" He yelled. He turned the tv down. I didn't say anything back.

2 weeks later

I hadn't spoken to Alex since we had that fight. Today wasn't about him. It was Saturday and I had a doctors appointment. I was done stressing myself out. Of course I missed him but this fight was way more intense.

I pulled up to the doctors office and went inside. I signed in and sat down. I pulled my phone out until my name was called. I went to the room and waited for the doctor.
