Chapter 45

Months later

"Madison stop fighting with Chase." I said removing her from him. They had been fighting for the last 20 minutes and wouldn't stop.

"Mama, Chase being mean to me." She said. I gave her a look and she almost cried.

"Madi you can't fight your brother." I said and she did something with her hands. I picked Chase up and he started fighting Madison.

"Okay that's it. I'm telling daddy and he won't be happy about this. Both of yall are in trouble. He's almost home too." As soon as I finished talking Alex walked through the door.

"No mommy!" They both screamed and tried to hide behind me.

"Alex! Get in here." I said. They cried as soon as they saw him.

"Well what happened?" I glared at him.

"Chase and Madison aren't listening. They keep fighting each other after I tell them to stop, so you need to talk to them." I said and pulled them from behind me. Alex walked over and sat next to me on the couch. He pulled me closer and I laid my head in his chest.

"Why aren't yall listening to mommy? What did I tell yall would happen if you don't listen to mommy?" He asked them. I looked at them and they were shedding tears. They were too adorable to see cry.

I knew they felt bad about what they did, but they have to listen to me. I am their mother and I want them to respect me.

"Sorry mommy." Chase said in a baby voice. He hugged me and I gave him a kiss.

"Mommy I'm sorry too." Madison said. I gave her a kiss and they went to their playroom. I leaned back onto Alex's chest and sighed.

"Our kids." I said. He laughed a little and I looked up at him.

"Yeah they are just like their mom, hardheaded."

"No they act like you and never listen to me, but it's okay because I know what you want and you cant have it." I said teasingly. He pulled me closer and I smiled.

"I can if I try hard enough." He said. I sat up and moved onto him so I was straddling him. I put my forehead down against his and closed my eyes.

"Finally." I whispered.

"I know. Finally we are peaceful and we always will be." he said and then leaned up to kiss me.
