Chapter 5

I could feel my phone vibrating really hard on my bed. I didn't even look to see who was calling.

"Hello" I said with my sleep voice

"Hey Myra it's Alex. Sorry I called so early but I miss you."

"How did you get my number?"

"A friend but listen I really want to hang out sometime. You know just me and you"

"Sure you do. But I need to get ready for school so I'll see you later"

"Okay" I hung up and got up and got ready. Homecoming felt like it was last night. I headed to school and saw this Lincoln. It was so beautiful. I wanted it. I saw someone in it and parked next them. To my surprise it was Alex.

I got out my car and tried to go inside school before he could see me but that didn't work.

"Hey are you trying to ignore the hottest guy in school?"

He was so conceded. I rolled my eyes at him. "Really?"

"Yeah"

"Well no but I need to go talk to some people."

"Okay can I walk you to class?"

"Yeah I guess"

I walked to the normal table I sat at. I saw Jessica crying a little so I sat down with her. We waited on Kaitlin. When she got there Jessica told us what happened.

"So Friday night when Brandon said he was taking me home he wasn't really taking me home. We went to his house and in his room as usual. But Friday he was just so... different. We've never had sex before until Friday and now I'm pregnant."

"Omg are you okay?"

"Yeah it's just that I went to the doctor and she said that I wouldn't be able to carry a baby."

"Jessica I'm so sorry." Me and Kaitlin said at the same time.

"It's fine. I just really hope Brandon will be too. He gets so angry when he can't have things."

"Aww baby should we "talk" to him?"

"No. Yes. Idk." Jessica said.

"We will don't worry about it. Maybe that's just for now. Don't worry about getting pregnant."

"But he was so excited when I told him about the baby. He was just kissing me all over. "

"I really love you and him." I said.

We all left the cafeteria and I waited for Alex. "Hey my bad. Football has me late a lot."

"Cool."

"Well Queen lightskin what class do you have?"

"Queen lightskin? and study hall."

"Really me too!"

"Ugh why?" I said playfully.

There weren't as many people as it was on the first day. Alex sat across from me and tried his best to ask me personal questions

"Alex! stop now."

"No this is funny" he was starting to laugh.

"Do you like me Alex?" I just threw the question at him.

"Why do you like me?"

"I asked first. just answer me." I laughed a little.

"Yes"

I was a little shocked by his answer but I could tell anyways. I just wanted to confirm it.

"Answer mine now."

"Yes"

"Well of course you do. Every girl does."

I smirked and he laughed. I didn't really think about it but I really did like Alex. He was just so much fun.

"Class it's time to go."

We walked out and he came up behind me. He grabbed me a little but I didn't push away. I enjoyed it. He whispered a little in my ear making me tingle and smile. "Meet me by my car after school."

I didn't look back at him but he let go and I walked to class by myself with a smile on my face until I saw Ashley.

She looked at me with evil eyes. I didn't have a problem with her but I would of if she kept doing crazy things.

She looked at her friend and started whispering about me. I ignored her at first but then she kept going.

"Um excuse me if you have something to say about me. Don't whisper."

"Your funny hoe."

"Ashley McCormick come here now" the teacher yelled.

"But Ms-" was all I could hear. "She-"

"Myra come here I'm sending you both to the office."

I walked down to the office and sat in the chair. "Myra what are you doing in here?" Alex said with his I.D on.

"Ms. Mitchell sent us to the office because Ashley called me a hoe." I whispered.

"Don't let her get to you. I promise that I'll be on your side."

"Thanks but I think I got it."

The principal called me in his office and told me to tell my side of the story. Since the only witness was the teacher she sent in a paper saying mostly what I said.

"Yeah so Myra you didn't do anything wrong but I shall say don't let the girl get to you. And who is this boy anyways?"

"Nobody."

"Alex Shead" Ashley blurted out.

"Oh so the star quarterback and the most popular girl in school."

"No it's not like that. "

"That's my man" Ashley added in.

"Ashley please be quiet." The principal said. I was glad someone told her. He called Alex in and Alex said that he didn't like Ashley and she was a stalker and the usual.

"Yeah so Alex escort Myra back to class and no PDA"

I looked at the principal with the evil eye. He kinda made me mad because I just told him we weren't a thing

"I can walk by myself."

"I know but I want to walk with you."

"Why?" He grabbed me again like earlier around the waist and whispered again.

"Because... I want you."

This time I pulled away but I still walked with him. When I got back to class everybody wanted to know what happened but I ignored them.

"Myra?" I turned to see it was Nia.

"OMG where have you been?"

"No where but check your phone hurry."

"Kk"

Nia; so my parents got mad about me being pregnant so they were trying to get me to go live in San Antonio with my aunt. But Omar got an apartment so were living there now, but I kinda need your help.

Me; with what?

Her; can you take me to go get my stuff? nobody's home today so I can get everything.

Me; yeah just meet me after school at my car. I'm parked at the front.

Her; okay thanks so much.

Me; no problem. Oh yeah how's Spanish 7 going?

Her; well they didn't have enough people again so I have a whole bunch of free periods.

I didn't text her back and I left since class was over. I went through the rest of the day trying to figure out what Alex might have to say.

Right after school I went to my car. I was waiting on Nia who walked slow now because she was getting bigger. I saw Alex coming outside in different clothes and he ran straight to me. A car was pulling up so he stopped running. The car stopped right in front of me and I realized it was Tristan.
