Chapter 41

Christmas Eve

I was getting ready for bed when my phone rung. I stopped to get it.

"Hey." I said to Alex.

"Hey so my mom is having a dinner tomorrow and she wanted to know if you'd come and bring the twins." He said. I looked down at Chase and Madison and smiled.

"Yeah I will. I'm still going to my godparents house in the morning." I said. I blew on their stomachs and Madison grabbed my hair. I took it from her and she whined a little.

"Okay that's cool. I want you to be happy. I told you that weeks ago, but now it's even more real. So did that last date make it up to you?" He asked changing the subject. I looked down at my children's and they were going to sleep. I always wondered what they thought about.

"Yeah it did. Alex Shead you've proved how much you love me. I appreciate that, but I have to go. Your children are asleep." I said. I picked them up and started walking to their cribs.

"Give them kisses for me." He said. I smiled and kissed them. I sat them in their cribs and walked to my bed.

"I did. You should get some sleep." I said.

"Yeah, but wait what did you buy yourself from the twins?" He asked. I sighed.

"Nothing. They don't owe me anything. They gave me one thing I've always wanted which is motherhood, but I got them a lot of stuff. I got a lot of stuff for everybody actually." I said.

"You should have got something for yourself. You deserve it. It's okay I got you something I think your going to love for a long time." He said. I smiled and couldn't stop.

Alex POV

"You should have got something for yourself. You deserve it. It's okay I got you something I think your going to love for a long time." I said. I looked down at the box with the ring. I rubbed it across my finger and wrapped it. "I'll see you tomorrow though. Get some sleep." I said.

"Goodnight." She said.

"Goodnight." I said before hanging up. I put my phone down and wrapped some more gifts. I pulled all the gifts out my closet and sighed when I realized I had got the twins and Myra too much stuff.

I loved them so much. I was ready for tomorrow to be here. The last two dates were amazing to me. I got to see Myra smile again and it made me happy.

I finished and put the stuff by the door, so I could put it in my car in the morning. I laid down in my bed and closed my eyes thinking about Myra.

The next day

"So how was your godparents?" I asked Myra as she sat on my moms couch.

"Good. Everybody fell in love with them. I won a gift for you." She said.

"Yeah they look like their mommy." I said and she put her head on my shoulder.

"I'm so ready for today to be over. I barely got to eat. This morning we were running a little late, so I just kept all there stuff wrapped up." She said.

"You should have opened it for them." I said. Before she could say anything my mom was calling for everybody to come in the kitchen. I grabbed Myra's hand and stood up. We walked into the kitchen, and I looked at all my family standing here.

"Mom." Josh said walking in. I looked at him and he hugged me and Myra. I didn't tell him about me and Myra breaking up, but I figured he already knew.

"Yes?" she asked.

"Nothing. Nevermind." He said. I turned to look at Myra. I didn't even realize she had walked away from me. She was holding Chase and talking to him. I sighed and walked out the kitchen. I sat at the table and felt a hand on my shoulder.
