Chapter 7

MYRA POV

I was a little nervous to be with Alex by myself. He came right after we hung up.

When I got in the car he was playing the radio a little
Loud. He turned it down and started talking.

"I'm glad that you decided to come."

"Yeah me too. "

"Something wrong?"

"Nothing I usually don't go on dates"

"Oh. It's a date , but Why not your so pretty and guy would be lucky to even be in the same room as you."

"I don't know. I just don't."

"Well tonight is our night. First date. So don't worry about anything."

Alex was generous. He drove us to the beach and got a blanket out.

When he sat down he pulled me with him. The sun was just starting to do down and it looked beautiful. I always wanted a date like this but never had the right guy. Now I did. We walked in the sand with no shoes on and it felt good. I had did all this just last summer but with Alex I felt alive. We sat back in the blanket and he laid back.

I don't know if he just wanted me for sex but he wasn't getting anything.

"Hey you should lay down."

I laid down next to him I looked up into the sky and saw him pointing at different stars.

"You remind me of the stars Myra. You know there just amazing and beautiful. There's always there even when you can't see them."

We got up and went to the restaurant across the street. It was nice inside. We sat at a booth and talked until the waiters came.

"So I know Halloween is coming up. Are you going to take your little brother trick or treating?"

"Yeah I want to find a costume. I don't want to feel childish but it's for him."

"What should I be for Halloween?" I said looking away a little. The waiter finally came.

"What would you like?" he said.

"Can I get the Alfredo pasta with chicken."

"And you sir."

"The same."

"Okay you food will be out in 10 minutes."

"My girlfriend. To answer your question" Alex said.

I smiled hard and I couldn't stop. "I don't know. It's so fast."

"It doesn't matter about time as long as I can spend it with you then I'm happy."

I laughed a little.

"Ladies and gentlemen I got a yes. An actual yes." Alex said loudly for the whole restaurant to hear.

"Alex stop lol"

"No I want the whole world to know."

"I think they do now."

We got our food and ate. Then we left and Alex took my hand and entwined it with his. We walked back to his car and he drove with one hand because our hands were still together.

"Tell me everything." Alex randomly said. "Like stuff I should know."

"Lol okay well my middle name is Marie. My birthday is November 30th. I love pink & green. I want to go to Baylor. I love orange is the new black." I went on with my list and Alex started his.

When we got back to my house he told me he wanted me to come over to his house someday.

"Goodnight babe."

"Goodnight Alex. Lol"

"I'll text you."

"I'm going to sleep."

"Yeah yeah."
