"Sakay." Piolo commanded at me. He was pertaining to his limousine parked infront of us now. Natulala lang ako kasi I never seen a limousine na ganito kalaki personally. Sabi nga nila, iba ang nababasa't naririnig sa nakikita. I was taken back to reality when Piolo offered his hand to assist me from getting into that grand car. Hinawakan ko naman ang malalambot na kamay nito at dahan-dahang pumasok na sa loob.

Sumunod naman si Piolo na pumasok sa loob ng sasakyan. Syempre, magkatabi kami. Hindi naman ako naiilang sa kanya, lalo namang wala akong nararamdamang kaba kapag kasama ko siya. There's nothing special, wala naman akong nararamdaman na ganun. Maybe, whenever I'm with him, I feel safe. Yun lang. We're good friends, and we're just being professional.

"Ang ganda ganda ng date ko, ano ba yan," kamot-ulo niyang sabi. "Siguro, lady of the night ka sa party."

"Ano kamo? Lady of the Night? Hindi mo pa nakikita yung kagandahan ng iba, wait ka lang. Ang laki talaga ng kompyansa mo sa'kin. Heh." I replied to his comment.

Marahan naman itong tumawa. "I'm your number one fan, you should know that." he stated and fixed his collar.

Agad ko namang winakli ang kamay niya rito at ako na ang nag-ayos ng suot niya. Medyo nakusot ng konti at mas maganda kung ako na ang mag-aayos nun kasi nga ako yung tumitingin sa kanya. "There. Ang gwapo mo. Nakaka-ano..."

"Ano?"

"Wala." Then I suddenly cracked up. He bowed his head and laughed for what I did.

"I love you." he uttered out of the blue. Ako naman, nagulantang naman sa sinabi niyang yun. "Always and forever."

"Hindi pa tayo umiinom, nagmumukha ka nang lasing. Just now, you sounded so drunk." I joked, breaking the tension he made.

"If showing affection is drunk, then drunk it is." he counter-attacked. Aray naman, pinanindigan talaga e no!

"Sira, hahaha." Naramdaman kong umikot ang sasakyan pakanan at huminto pagkalipas ng ilang minuto. "Andito na ba tayo?"

"Yup." he looked at me. "You ready?"

I shrugged. "I guess?" Wala akong ibang nagawa kundi yumuko sa sobrang hiya. Sobrang lakas ng tibok ng puso ko dahil sa kabang nararamdaman ko. Kinakabahan ako hindi dahil ka-date ko si Piolo, but the guests inside at that grand party. You never know, they're judging me na pala in their minds.

He lifted my face holding my chin, "You're amazing, and that's more than enough. Ang ganda mo, not just tonight but everyday. I hope I somewhat eased your nervousness. Don't worry, hindi kita iiwan dun sa party. I'll stay by your side all night." he gave me a reassuring smile.

I simply nodded as a reply. Inalay na naman niya ang kamay niya para alalayan ako palabas ng limousine niya. I clung my left arm on his right arm and walked together upstairs to enter the said grand party. I'm feeling way better than earlier sa sasakyan. Kagaya nga ng sabi ko, Piolo is my safe haven. His charms and words always assures me that I'm safe whenever I'm around him.

"Let us acknowledge the arrival of Dr. Piolo Pascual, M.D. Ph.D, the current President of St. Luke's Medical Center together with his stunning date, Dra. Regina Encarnacion Velasquez, M.D. Ph.D, Head of the Department of Neurosurgery, St. Luke's Medical Center. Pleasantries to the both of you!" hiyaw naman ng emcee sa aming dalawa ni Piolo. The whole crowd stopped for a moment by looking at the both of us. Shet. Sabi ko na nga ba e.

"PJ, jusko hindi ako sanay na pinagtitinginan ng tao!" I whispered to him. He just chuckled at my reaction, so ano patawa-tawa nalang kami ng ganito whole night habang ako namamatay sa konsimisyon!?

"See? Ang ganda ganda mo kasi kaya sila ganyan." he commented. "Tara na, ipapakilala lang kita sa mga kailangan kong ma-meet, konting usap tapos masosolo mo na ako." he winked at me. Nahampas ko naman siya sa braso dahil sa mga kahibangang sinasabi niya. Gago, masosolo daw? Siraulo.

Malawak ang venue, medyo konti lang naman ang mga tao. Halatang mga mayayaman, may mga class kumilos kumbaga. They were wearing their stunning gowns and looking so fresh and lovely with their blend-in makeups. Sure akong pinaghandaan din nila ang party na to. Noon, sabi ni Papa, umaattend ang mga negosyante sa mga party na ganito hindi lang para magsaya—para na rin makipagnegosasyon sa mga iba't ibang negosyanteng andito. Well, buisness is buisness.

"Pascual," usal ng isang lalaking nakakita sa'min mula sa malayo. Piolo held my hand and we, together, went near that table. "Good evening." bati nito sa'min.

"Good evening to you Sir Almodal." he politely replied. Nakita naman niyang may mga kasama rin si Sir Almodal sa table na iyon kaya binati na rin niya. "Good evening sires." They nodded their heads in reply.

"So...who's this gorgeous woman over here, PJ?" he cockily said. Almodal was staring at me, as if I'm a goddess came down from heaven. God, I swear I don't know what to react! "Maari mo ba siyang ipakilala sa'min?"

"Oh, sure." he upfronted me. "Meet Dra. Regine Velasquez, head ng St. Luke's under Neurosurgery Department."

I flashed them my sweetest but polite smile. "Good evening, nice to meet you all." I uttered those words, shakily. Damn!

"Hija, no need to be nervous. We're harmless." they smiled at me. "This is your first time, I bet."

"You're right po, hehe." I peaced out.

"Buti naman at nahila ka ni PJ sa mga ganitong okasyon. Well, I think it's a good thing na first time mo dito," I gave them a confused look. "E, if you'll attend every party we will go into, baka kada gabi hihinto ang oras pag nasilayan ang gandang taglay mo, Ms. Velasquez. Surely, we are in awe by your beauty."

"Woah, that was flattering, Sir." I reacted and laughed along the crew.

"Sir is too formal, Leo nalang. Tutal, I think we're at the same age. I'm an engineer and a good friend of PJ." he stated.

"Okay, Leo. Anything you prefer." I smiled again.

Nang nararamdaman ni Piolo na nagkkakamabutihan na kami ni Leo and the rest of the people in the table, bigla nalang siyang nagsalita. "So, fellas, can I excuse my date for a while?"

Leo uttered. "Sure thing. Ibalik mo siya dito ah." then he chuckled. Napatawa rin naman ako sa sense of humor niya. We slightly bowed our heads and waved goodbye to each other.

Hinila naman ako ni Piolo paakyat and now we're at the second floor of the venue. "
