It was reaaaaaal cold here in London. Halos hindi ako makatulog sa sobrang ginaw even if I already turned off the aircon. I slept what, for only 6 hours? Damn. Nagising nalang ako sa tunog ng aking telepono, not an alarm but a phone call. I was so tamad to get up so kinamay ko nalang ito, I bet I look like Sadako right now. Agad ko naman itong sinagot. My eyes are just so blurry so no point on seeing who's calling, anyway.

"Good morning, love!"

I jolted.

"Oh my God." Napabalikwas ako ng tayo at napatingin sa caller id. It's really him! "Sorry, sorry. Nabigla lang ako. Good morning."

"Ang aga ko ba? Sorry to disturb your sleep. Your voice sounded so coarse." he said, feeling apologetic.

"No, no. I'm actually getting ready for the conference." Agad naman akong napakuha ng towel at pumasok ng CR. I removed all my clothes and wrapped myself in a towel, as well as my hair.

"Can I see you?" Bingo.

Agad naman akong napahawak sa phone ko and clicked my FaceTime just to see my husband on the other line. He picked up after few rings and I saw his face on screen. So, it's already 12PM there in the Philippines. Mas advance sila ng seven hours kaysa dito sa London.

I smiled through the camera. "Naglunch ka na, love? Sorry I didn't call you yesterday, naging busy kasi ako sa pag-aayos ng gamit eh." I sincerely apologized.

"It's fine." He was wearing his company suit during the video call. "May emergency meeting rin kasi kahapon kaya hindi ko na napansin yung phone ko."

"Anyway, I'm about to go and take a bath already though..." nilayo ko ang phone ko nang makita niyang nakatapis nalang ako.

"Ah, okay okay. Sige na, go and prepare." he smiled.

I deeply sighed before speaking. "Pero alam mo, I'm nervous. Pano kung iba yung trato nila sa'kin? What if they don't like me? What if they think bad things about me? Mga ganung bagay. Alam mo naman ang discrimination at racism ngayon, sobra na, especially Asian countries." I opened up.

"Hey, cheer up love. Magugustuhan ka nila for sure. You aren't hard to like and to get along, mabait kang tao. Think positive always and do your best. Ikaw kaya ang pinakamagaling na doktor na kilala ko, and I'm so damn lucky to be your husband." he spoke. Bakit siya nagpakilig ng ganon? Mali 'yon, mali!

"Words of wisdom lang hinihingi ko, dinagdagan mo pa ng kilig factor." nakabusangot kong sabi. "Pasalamat ka mahal kita kundi, nako!"

He simply laughed at my reaction. "I love you, Hon." he sweetly said. Arrrrgh, uuwi na ako ng Pilipinas, now na talaga!

Alam niyo yung feeling na ang hirap kiligin pag malayo yung minamahal mo. Di mo malaplap.

Charot.

"I love you too. Promise, tatawagan kita mamayang gabi pag tapos ng event." I assured him. He just nodded and waved goodbye as he ended our FaceTime together.

Pumasok na ako sa banyo at nagsimulang maligo. Makalipas ang kalahating oras ay natapos na akong maligo. I did my skincare inside the comfort room and went outside, still wrapped up with a white, long towel. My hair is also twirled up with a short one.
