"Regine, regine!"

"Wooooh, woooooh?" I replied to whoever called me. Nilingon ko ito and I saw Pops behind me. "Joke lang, ano? Ba't ka habol ng habol sa'kin? Ayan tuloy, hingal na hingal ka."

"Whatever," she replied. "Tawag ka ni ex. Galing kasi ako sa opisina niya, may importante dawng sasabihin sayo. Ewan ko ba dun, abot langit ang ngiti nun e. Magpapakasal na ata. Charot lang."

"Gaga," hampas ko sa kanya sa braso. "Sige, pupunta na ko. Salamat sa pag-inform. Tsaka iwas-iwasan mo nga pagtatatakbo, hikain ka pa dyan ang layo layo pa ng office mo." She just nodded and went away.

I am now going to Piolo's office. It's on the seventh floor, malapit sa may conference room na pinuntahan namin days ago. Well, expected already na ang gulo-gulo ng opisina nun. Tamad yun mag-ayos lalo na sa mga bagay na de papel. Ako pa mag-aayos nun lahat, tamo. I didn't see him going out nowadays ah. Ang dami talaga sigurong kailangan gawin.

It's actually 1:30 in the afternoon. Yup, kakarating ko lang galing sa opisina ng asawa ko kanina. Hanggang ngayon, hindi ko pa rin naa-absorb yung mga nasabi niya at ang mga nangyari. Nababaliw pa rin ako kakaisip tungkol dun. Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala. I mean...really? In that fifteen years, hindi ko inaasahang darating pa ang pagkakataong to. It was merely impossibe to happen.

There's one tiny hesitation in me—baka sasaktan niya lang rin ako sa huli. Baka gagawa lang siya ng ikakalayo ko talaga sa kanya. Baka gagawa siya ng bagay na nasisigurado niyang masasaktan ako para maghiwalay na kami at tuluyan ko na siyang kamuhian para magpakasal sa iba. Maybe he wanted to end it the worst possible scenario he could ever make. Pero sabi nga ni Pops, let's look at the bright side. This is the opportunity I've been waiting for, ngayon pa ba ako aatras at magdadalawang-isip?

I opened the door to Piolo's office. "Pinapatawag mo daw ako, Mr. President?" sinadya kong diinan ang Mr. President. Well, for kidding purposes.

"Sira," he chuckled. He took out a long white envelope from his drawer and gave it to me. "An invitation for you. It was sent directly to the admin, hindi ata alam ang address mo nor the address of your office. Truthfully, I read it. Sorry."

"It's fine, invitation lang naman and it's nothing personal. Excuse me for a minute," tinalikuran ko siya at binuksan ang envelope.

"Really? Then it would be fun!" I squealed. "Pero teka, sa'n ba to?"

"London." he glanced at me, waiting for my reaction and response. L-london? Ang layo ah. "Well, global event yan kaya medyo big time ang mga magiging bisita. You never knew how lucky are you to be invited on that prestigious event. Hindi dapat pinapalampas ang mga ganyang opportunity."
