"Remember to duck." I point out, watching the young wolf attempt to dodge the small stones I throw his way.

As part of his training I decided to teach him agility, he needs to be fast given that he isn't strong, not yet anyway. Nathan yelps dramatically when a stone hits the back of his head.

"I told you to duck!" I call out, giving him a bemused look.

"You're going too fast!" He laughs as he yells, and I stop throwing the small stones.

"It's time for lunch, you need to stay well fed if you want to gain weight." I tell him, ruffling his hair as we jog back to the pack house.

As always I'm wrapped up in jumpers and scarves, my socks so thick that my shoes look twice the size. It's ridiculous, and very necessary. Wolves don't need clothes to stay warm, that's what I miss most.

Nathan hogs off towards the house as we break through the trees, and I walk behind him following the smell of food.

My journey is short lived when I see the entire pack standing in the open space below the steps, talking in hushed whispers. It makes me uneasy, and incredibly curious.

Pushing my way through the crowd, I manage to get to the front line only to be stopped by Lucifer, he stares down at me with wide eyes, suddenly alarmed.

What's up with him? I couldn't help but wonder silently.

Wanting to know what has him so worried suddenly, I peek around him. To my absolute astonishment, it's someone I wasn't expecting.

"Elijah!" I squeal loudly, shoving past Lucifer as I launch myself at the man.

He catches me gracefully, laughing as he immediately wraps me in his warm arms. I squeeze the life out of him, almost anyway. The fact that the entire pack and Lucifer are seeing this, doesn't faze the Elders. They're not ashamed to show affection, not towards me anyway.

"Not a hugger though." Luka mocks behind him.

Giving him my finger, I couldn't help but grin as I pull away from Elijah. Micheal tenderly kisses my cheeks, a familiar greeting.

"Why are you here?" I ask curiously, realising they have no reason to be here.

Luka immediately gets a grin on his face, and from my knowledge I know he only gets that look when he's up to something. The Elders may be old, but they're sneaky little shits.

"A simple check in, to see how things are going. You didn't sound too well last time we spoke." Elijah says, giving me a pointed look.

I give a slight smile, shaking my head. I didn't want to talk about it in front of these savages, and I think Elijah understands why.

"Come." He offers me his arm, and I don't think twice before looping mine through his and walking off with him.

Luka and Micheal stay with the pack, I assume to do whatever it is they came here for. I don't worry too much about it, figuring it can't be too awful.

"You're imbalanced, Care to tell an old man what's wrong?" He muses, I smile a little.

"Did you come all this way just to ask me that?" I ask with a teasing smile.

His eyes twinkle mischievously. "Maybe."

"Lucifer wants to try again, to start fresh." I tell him, rolling my eyes.

"Of course he does, anyone would be a fool to not see what a privilege you are to have around." He retorts with an eye roll, something he got off me that Micheal always tuts about.
