For The Memories Slowly Fading by tingtamtam © 2010
I love a happy ending
I love a saving grace
But those are just for stories
'cause life's a cat-mouse chase
Thank you for loving me
Thank you for being there
But it's time to go now
'cause life's just not that fair
We were amazing together
We were among the best
But we weren't meant for forever
'cause life's a good long jest
In the beginning, when I think I'll remember the things I've learnt, I forget.
I forget the things the amazing people I call friends do for me.
I forget what my one-of-a-kind family has done to make me happy.
I forget the innocent lives lost in a war while I live my ignorant life.
I forget the two ways to see everything.
I forget that before the rainbows come the thunderstorms and rain. That rain brings food and joy.
But in the end, when I'm ready to start all over again I remember.
I remember that everything happens for a reason.
I remember that no one in this world is perfect.
I remember that everyone is the same yet different.
I remember that I have the power to be happy.
I remember that family means forever. And forever is real and not some fairytale.
