The next morning Laura and I wake up at 7am. We eat breakfast and get ready to leave. We pack our stuff for the day and make sure that we have everything we need for the fair. I put on black sweatpants and a red sweatshirt.
"Laura, Ryan just texted me. They just walked into the building. He and Grant should be up in a few minutes" I say to Laura
"Awesome" She says. A few minutes go by when there is a knock on the door.
"I'll get it. It's Ryan and Grant" I say as I run to the door. Ryan is dressed in black sweatpants and a white sweatshirt. Grant is wearing dark jeans and a grey sweatshirt. They both look pretty hot.
"Hey baby" I say as I answer the door.
"Hi cute boy" Ryan says. We kiss as they walk in. Grant and I share a bro hug.
"Hey man. Thanks for inviting us" Grant says.
"Glad to have you come with us" I say back.
"Laura. Ryan and Grant are here" I say
"Be right out" Laura calls back.
"Have you two eaten yet?" I ask as we walk into the kitchen
"We have. Grant and I woke up at 7am and went out for pancakes. We're good for now" Ryan says.
"Awesome. We should be able to just go when Laura comes out" I say.
"I'm excited to meet Laura" Ryan says.
"You'll love her" I say back. We sit in the living room and talk for a while. Grant goes into my room to call a friend. Ryan and I sit and talk for a while. Laura finally comes out. She wears black leggings and a cream colored sweatshirt.
"Alright. Here I am" Laura says as she walks out. Ryan and I stand up when we see her.
"Alright Laura. This is Ryan" I tell her.
"Hi Laura. It's nice to finally meet you. I've heard so much" Ryan says as he shakes her hand.
"Hi Ryan. It's nice to finally meet my best friend's boyfriend. I'm so glad that you're coming with us". Just as they finish talking to each other, Grant comes out of my room.
"Alright guys. I'm ready when you ar-Hi. I'm Grant" he says right when he sees Laura. He looks very interested in her when he sees her.
"Hi Grant. I'm Laura. Nice to meet you" she says back.
"Nice to meet you too" Grant says. They look at each other for a few minutes. You can see that they clearly are interested in each other. Ryan and I stand there for a while. Just looking at them. We let it go on for a few minutes.
"Uhh. Grant. Laura. Are you two ready?" Ryan says.
"Yeah. I'm ready" Laura says looking at Grant.
"Yeah...me too" Grant says looking at Laura.
"Well. Should we go?" I ask.
"Yeah. Let's all get going" Laura says.
The four of us go to my car. We all get in and start going to the fair. Laura sits in front with me and Ryan and Grant sit in the back. We listen to Sara Bareilles on the way there. We spend the entire ride talking about random shit, like Laura and I always do. Laura and Grant keep looking at each other. Ryan and I do most of the talking. We finally get to the fair.
"Looks like we're here" I say when I pull into the parking lot.
"Awesome. Let's park and be on our way" Ryan says. We park and pay for the day. We walk into the fair grounds. Laura and I feel like little kids again. This was always one of our favorite things to do when we were young. My parents our Laura's parents would always take us. When we got a little older, we started coming ourselves.
"Come on Laura. Let's start with our usual. The pumpkin patch maze" I say when we get there.
"Awesome. Let's go" Laura says.
We go to maze and make our way around. We always start with it when we get there. The four of us spend the entire day at the fair. We play all the games and eat all the treats. Ryan and I hold hands the entire day. Laura and Grant have been looking pretty friendly the entire time. They even snuck away to have lunch together at one point. Ryan and I had lunch together that day. We spend the rest of the day having fun at the fair. Ryan and I win stuffed dogs for each other. He and I are both dog lovers. The time for dinner comes around. The four of us have burgers and fries.
"You all having fun today?" Ryan asks.
"I am. I've loved spending the day with my friends. This is actually something I've never done before" I say.
"I'm glad you're having fun, baby. Grant. Laura, are you two having fun?" Ryan asks.
"I am. I've been having a blast today. We should do this every year" Grant says.
"I'm having fun too. We should do this every year. It will be our tradition" Laura says. We finish eating and continue our time at the fair. Eventually 10pm comes around. We finish with a carriage ride. That's what Laura and I always do. It's how we end the night. Ryan and I sit in front while Laura and Grant sit in back. We can see all of the fair grounds from this hill. It looks beautiful. Ryan and I kiss a few times. We get back to the grounds.
"Guys. I hate to be the downer but I have class at 8am tomorrow. I think we should maybe head home now" Grant says.
"Yeah, we probably should. I have to work at 7am tomorrow" Ryan says.
"Alright let's head home" I say. We go to my car and start driving home. We talk about life and stuff on the way home. We stop briefly for ice cream and then go home. When we get home, we stand in the kitchen and talk for a while. Laura and Grant talk for a while.
"I had a lot of fun with you today, Laura. Let's hang sometime" Grant says
"I had a lot of fun with you too, Grant. I'd love that" she says.
"I'm gonna give you my number so we can stay in touch. If there's anything I can ever do for you or Evan please let me know. I'm just five minutes away" Grant says.
"Thanks Grant. You wanna do lunch tomorrow?" Laura asks.
"I'd love to" Grant says.
"Awesome. I'll come by after class. Mondays are the days I have class from 8 until noon. There's a sandwich place that we can go to" Grant asks.
"Sounds awesome" Laura says.
"Alright. I'll see you at noon tomorrow" Grant says.
"Sounds amazing. See you then".
"Goodnight everyone" Grant says.
"Goodnight guys. Love you Ryan" I say.
"Love you too, baby. See you tomorrow". Laura and I walk to the living room and sit on our couch.
"Did you have fun today, Laura?" I ask.
"I did. Did you?" she asks.
"I did too. You and Grant looked like you had fun today" I say.
"God he's so hot. I'll make him mine. Just you wait" Laura says.
"Good luck. I'm exhausted. I'm going to bed" I say.
"Goodnight, Evan. I love you" Laura says.
"I love you too". I go to bed and think about all the fun I had today. It was amazing. I'm so glad that I have friends like Laura and Grant and an incredible boyfriend like Ryan.
