The next day, Ryan and I are on lunch break together. I packed a lunch for Ryan and he packed one for me. We've been doing that lately. We really like doing it. I always make Ryan mac and cheese for Ryan. It's his favorite. Ryan always makes me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. My favorite. We sit in the break are eating lunch.
"So listen" Ryan says.
"Yes" I say back.
"I have to go out of town for the weekend" Ryan says.
"What for?" I ask.
"My cousin is getting married. She's my closet cousin. Sorry baby" Ryan says.
"It's ok, Ryan. Don't worry. I have Grant and Laura. I'll be fine. Have fun, baby" I say.
"Thanks cutie. I know you and I came to work together today but I'm leaving early from work at 5pm. Grant is going to pick you up tonight. You two can hang for the night. Is that ok?" Ryan asks.
"Yeah, that's fine. Grant and I have been getting to know each other a lot recently" I say.
"Thanks babe. I'll be back on Monday" Ryan says.
After lunch, Ryan and I go back to working. I make sure to see Ryan bring in several rows of carts before he has to go. I love watching him do that. It's so hot. The time comes for Ryan to leave. He and I kiss before he goes.
"I'll see you on Monday, Evan. You can sleep in my apartment if you want" Ryan says.
"Thanks Ryan. But I think I'll go back to my apartment. I should probably spend some time with Laura while you're gone" I say back.
"I love you, baby" Ryan says.
"Love you too. Have fun" I say back. I go back to working. At 9pm, I go outside and wait for Grant. Eventually he pulls into the parking lot and I get into his car. I get into his car and we say hi to each other. I'm actually looking forward to spending time with Grant tonight.
"Hey Evan. How are you?" Grant asks.
"I'm good. Looks like Ryan is out of town for the weekend" I say back.
"Yes he is. You wanna hang tonight, man?" Grant asks.
"Sure. What do you wanna do?" I ask.
"Wanna go back to my apartment? I have Netflix hooked up to my tv. We can watch a movie or Disney+" Grant says.
"Yeah, sure. That sounds awesome" I say back. Grant begins to drive back to his apartment. We drive by a Dominos on the way there.
"Wanna get a pizza? We can have a movie and pizza night tonight" Grant says.
"That sounds awesome" I say
"Alright, let's go, man" Grant says. We stop in and buy a pizza. We then go back to Grant's apartment and spend the night together. The night is pretty fun. Grant and I talk a lot and learn about more stuff we have in common. Grant is actually an awesome guy. We watch The Emperor's New Grove first. We than watch Family Guy while eating. We both laugh at the same jokes. It turns out we have the same sense of humor. After watching three whole seasons, a run to get a pale of chocolate ice cream and laughing our asses off, we sit and talk for a while. Mostly just about work and class. decide to go to bed.
"Alright, it's 12am. I should probably be getting home now" I say.
"Have a good night, man. I'll see you tomorrow" Grant says. I start walking down the hallway and down to the lobby. Right when I get to the door I get a text from Laura.
Hey, my grandfather had a medical emergency. I went with my family to visit him. I'm out of state. I locked our apartment without thinking. I'm so sorry, Evan. Can you stay with Grant tonight?
