Taeil's cold finally got better but he still felt sick. The never-ending head pains are still there, overall he's alright. He's still staying inside his room so he can take care of himself, plus he had nothing to do today except maybe cram for his studies when he's fine.
He goes to the kitchen to cook some soup for himself and as he was getting ingredients, his phone starts ringing and he picks it up, wondering who could be calling at this time. "Hello?"
"Hey Taeil!" The voice on the other end is Ten's and Taeil could tell that he was smiling, he just had a feeling. "How are you doing? Are you feeling better?"
"I'm doing fine, the headaches are still there but it's alright." Taeil places his phone on his shoulder and traps his phone between his shoulder and head, making sure it doesn't fall. "Anyways, you called because of the plan we had, right?" He said as he continues preparing food for himself.
"That and I wanted to know if you're doing fine," Ten responded. "I managed to get something out of Doyoung. It surprised me though, I didn't think he missed Taeyong a lot."
"Really?" Taeil seemed a bit surprised, then again he can't really blame Doyoung for missing a friend that he hasn't seen in years. "What did he tell you?"
"Uhh, let's see..." Judging by the sounds, Ten's probably on his bed trying to find a comfortable position. "He told me that he missed him a lot and that he felt like it was his fault for ruining their friendship. Doyoung told me he wished he would have noticed sooner," Ten talks as if he's reciting an essay.
"Notice what sooner?" Taeil asked as he put some vegetables and other ingredients in a pot, making soup for himself. He makes sure to be careful not to drop his phone from his shoulder.
"About Taeyong's feelings, you know. His oh painful unrequited love," Ten said as he let out a sigh, Taeil assumes he probably rolled his eyes after he said that. "I guess their friendship got awkward and messy to the point they had to leave each other."
As Ten continued rambling, Taeil's stomach churns with guilt. He can't back out from this plan and he felt bad for butting in their personal problems. If Doyoung, Jaehyun or even Taeyong knew, Taeil would feel more guilty. He doesn't like the feeling at all.
Taeil distracts himself from these thoughts as he starts mixing in the pot, it can't be helped. "That's too bad. Jaehyun's side of the story though..."
He could hear Ten sit up from his bed as soon as Taeil mentioned Jaehyun. "What did he say?"
"From what Jungwoo told me, he asked him a question." Taeil hums as he tries to recall Jungwoo's texts. "Something about 'how do you feel if you have a friend that likes you but you only see them as a friend.'"
Ten was quiet for a while and Taeil was a bit confused at Ten's sudden quietness, he wasn't sure if he should continue. "Well, looks like we know the main problem now."
Taeil was still confused. He doesn't know what Ten meant so he tries to remember each of the three's sides of the story. The moment he realized, he almost dropped his phone in shock but he managed to stay still. "Don't tell me the reason they fell apart was because of Taeyong's crush on Jaehyun."
