Let's get to know eachother.

----------

"Jess!! Get down here it's 10 am!!" my dad shouts from downstairs.

Calm down Dave, I'm coming.

"Yes dad!!" I shout getting up from bed.

One thing I hate about mornings is getting out of bed.

But today, I feel happy to be out of bed, and that was strange to me.

Normally I like to stay in bed all comfy until I purposely get dragged out of bed.

But not today, I guess I'm looking forward to seeing him.

I walk into the bathroom throw my hair into a bun and get a quick shower down, step out and put fresh underwear and clothes on.

I decide to keep a bun in my hair today, because why not?

Fifteen minutes later I'm ready and I go downstairs.

"Morning mum, morning dad" I smile as i walk into the kitchen.

"Morning kiddo, you not in work today?" My dad asks.

"Nope, not today" I smile.

"Well unfortunately,we are dear" my mum sighs.

"Don't worry mum, I'll be back at school next week anyway" I sigh, thinking of school.

"Okay love, I'm sorry but I have to go, my first meetings at 10:45 can't be late now" she says whilst putting her empty bowl in the sink and kissing me and my dad quickly before she hurry's off to work.

"What time you at work dad?" I ask.

"Well I have a meeting at 11:30 so why don't you play me some guitar?" He smiles.

My mum and my dad both work as main managers of two different worldwide company's, it's pretty cool if you ask me.

My dad always loves listening to me sing and play guitar for him whenever we've both got free time, and right now is just the free time we have.

"Sure" I say and walk upstairs into my room to grab my guitar.

I walk downstairs and my dads sitting with a huge smile on his face.

"What song will it be today dad?" I ask whilst I sit down on a chair facing him.

"How about Hotel California, the Eagles?" He asks.

"Sure" I smile and begin to play.

On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light
My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim
I had to stop for the night
There she stood in the doorway;
I heard the mission bell
And I was thinking to myself,
"This could be Heaven or this could be Hell"
Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way
There were voices down the corridor,
I thought I heard them say...

Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place
Such a lovely face
Plenty of room at the Hotel California
Any time of year
You can find it here

I sang the first two verses and looked up to see my dad grinning proudly, so I carried on playing.

Her mind is Tiffany-twisted, she got the Mercedes bends
She got a lot of pretty, pretty boys she calls friends
How they dance in the courtyard, sweet summer sweat.
Some dance to remember, some dance to forget
