Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim.
In the Name of Allâh, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. All the praises and thanks be to Allâh, the Lord of the 'Alamîn . The Only Owner of the Day of Recompense. You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help. Guide us to the Straight Way. The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace , not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger, nor of those who went astray .
____________28: (Al-Qasas)- The Story
(The Narratives)No. 28
(Revealed at Mecca)
88 Verses in 9 Sections
Al-Qaṣaṣ (: القصص, "The Stories") is the 28th chapter () of the with 88 verses.
According to 's commentary, the Surah takes its name from verse 25 in which the word Al-Qasas occurs. Lexically, qasas means to relate events in their proper sequence. Thus, from the view- point of the meaning too, this word can be a suitable title for this Surah, for in it the detailed story of the Prophet has been related. There are 88 ayaat in this Surah and it was revealed in Makkah though some scholars say that it was revealed in Madinah. The 58th verse of this Surah was revealed at the time of the Holy Prophet's (S) migration from Makkah to Madinah.

Benefits
It is narrated from the Holy Prophet (S) that whoever recites this Surah will get the reward equivalent to the number of people present at the time of Prophet Musa (a.s.) and all the angels will bear witness on his behalf. If one drinks the water in which this Surah has been dissolved, all his problems and worries will be solved.
Imam Ja'far as-Sadiq (a.s.) has said that drinking water in which this Surah has been dissolved is a remedy from illness and worries (this can also be done by writing the Surah inside a container and then gathering rain water in the same container).

Virtues
The holy Prophet (S) in a tradition said:
"The one who recites Surah Al-Qasas will be given ten rewards as many as the number of all those who assented Moses and those who rejected him, and there is no angel in the heavens and the earth but he will attest to his rightfulness in Hereafter."
Imam Sadiq (as) in another tradition says:
"The one who recites suras Al-Qasas, An-Naml, and Ash-Shu'ara by the night before Friday, he will be of the friends of Allah, will be nigh to Him, and will be supported by Him; and in this world he will not encounter a sever poverty, insecurity and disquiet, and in Hereafter Allah will bestow on him so much merits that he will be pleased and even more than being pleased."
It is evident that all of these rewards will be given to the one who, by reciting this Surah, tries to be in the row of Moses (as), the true believers, and those who struggle against the wrongdoers such as Pharaoh and Korah.
When confronting the difficulties, he must not knee before the enemies and accept the disgrace of submission, for all these many rewards are not given to anyone cheaply. They are specified to those who usually recite the Surah, contemplate its content, and fulfil them accordingly.

Lessons
The story of Musa has always been one of my favourites. The place of Musa's mother within the story is one of the things that strikes me the most; a remarkable woman who had strong conviction in Allāh, even when it came to giving away the thing that was dearest and most beloved to her.
