Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim.
In the Name of Allâh, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. All the praises and thanks be to Allâh, the Lord of the 'Alamîn . The Only Owner of the Day of Recompense. You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help. Guide us to the Straight Way. The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace , not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger, nor of those who went astray .

(The Proscription)Section (juz') 28Number of Verses: 12
Sura al-Taḥrim (Arabic: سوره التحریم) is sixty sixth sura of the quran. It is a madani sura located in juz twenty eight. The name of the sura is adopted from the first verse of the sura which refers to the event when the prophet (s) made a permissible issue prohibited for himself by taking an oath in order to please his wives.
Sura al-Tahrim urges wrongdoers to make a sincere repentance and speaks about the effects of faith on the day of judgement. It also urges muslims toward jihad with disbelievers and hypocrites and to be harsh toward them. In this sura, the wives of Prophet noah (a) and Lot (a) are mentioned as unrighteous women and the wife of pharaoh and Lady mary(a) are considered as righteous women.
One of the famous verses of this sura is verse six which calls believers to save themselves and their families from the hellfire. It is narrated from the Prophet (s) that whoever recites Sura al-Tahrim will be successful to make sincere repentance and not return to sins. Also, lessening the punishment of dead ones and easy death of a person who is in his deathbed are mentioned as other benefits of this sura.
The blessed Chapter, revealed in Medina, has twelve Verses and its designation derives from the first blessed Verse in which God Almighty censures the proscription of what is religiously lawful, even though such proscription, owing to different individual and social reasons, deprives man of certain lawful pleasures.
The opening Verses treat of the Noble Prophet's mistreatment by some of his wives and the following Verses, addressed to the believers, enjoin them to take precaution as to treating and fostering their families so that Hellfire may not be in store for them.
The blessed Chapter proceeds to make references to women's merits and demerits and thereby depicts the women possessing such traits. The wives of Noah and Lot are presented as possessing demerits and that of the Pharaoh and Mary (as) are suggested as those possessing merits.
According to a Prophetic tradition, one who recites the Chapter will be granted the Divine Reward of sincere repentance.
