Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim.

In the Name of Allâh, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. All the praises and thanks be to Allâh, the Lord of the 'Alamîn . The Only Owner of the Day of Recompense. You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help. Guide us to the Straight Way. The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace , not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger, nor of those who went astray .

49: (Al-Hujurat)- The Apartments

(The Rooms)Section (juz'): 26Number of Verses: 18

Sūra al-Ḥujurāt (Arabic: سورة الحجرات) is the forty ninth surah of the quran. It is a madani sura located in juz twenty six. "Al-Hujurat" is the plural form of "al-hujra" (الحجرة), meaning "room". It is mentioned in verse four of this sura. This sura speaks about the appropriate behavior toward the prophets and also socio-moral issues such as suspicion, snooping, and backbiting.

Some of the famous verses of this sura are al-ukhuwwa versewhich introduces believers brothers to each other, the "verse of Naba'" which advises not to trust all persons who bring news and the verse thirteen which considers more god-wary people more honorable before god.

The Chapter in question has eighteen Verses and it was revealed in Medina. The Arabic word hujurat is the plural form of hujra. The fourth Verse of the Chapter treats of the rooms of the Noble Prophet's (S) house, hence the designation Hujurat ("rooms").

According to a tradition narrated from Imam Sadiq (as):

"One who recites Surah al-Hujurat every night or every day, shall be regarded as one of the visitors of Prophet Muhammad (S)."

It goes without saying that visiting the Noble Prophet (S) stands second to acting upon the rules mentioned herein concerning the Noble Prophet of Islam (S), since recitation is at all times a prelude to practice.

Benefits

This Surah was revealed in Madinah and it has 18 ayaat. It is narrated from the Holy Prophet (S) that the reward for reciting this Surah can be compared to ten times the number of believers and disbelievers on Earth.

Imam Ja'far as-Sadiq has narrated that those who recite this Surah will be counted from among those who visited the Holy Prophet (S). Writing this Surah and keeping it in one's possession makes the Shaitan run away and acts as a protection in times of war and unrest. If a pregnant woman drinks water in which this Surah has been dissolved, then both herself and her child will remain safe from danger and drinking this water also increases breast-milk in a breastfeeding mother.
